Chapter 1 [Enrolling into Cherryton]

You woke up to the sound of his alarm blaring at 7am which was unusually early but today wasn't another regular day. Today was the day you would finally set off to Cherryton Academy with his sister and he couldn't be happier.

You jumped out of bed and turned the alarm off, after which you made your way over to the bathroom with unsettling speed to brush your teeth and take a quick morning shower. After  you finished drying off, you began to get dressed in the uniform that was mailed in a few days ago and rushed to see if your sister was already awake and waiting in the common room. Alas, she was not.

As you sat there, impatiently waiting for her to come down, you began to look around and take in the orphanage's interior as you were likely never coming back here again. While it wasn't a bag orphanage per se, it did feel rather isolating as you and your sister were never adopted while all of the friends you had made ended up being adopted, essentially losing contact with them forever. It also didn't help that they didn't let you out much at all, so one of your only windows to the outside was the movies they had that you would watch on repeat. This however, made you crave a normal life, one where you go to a proper school, have a group of friends, teen love, all of that seemed like a distant but reachable length away from you.

After discussing it with the orphan keeper, you managed to arrange for you and your sister to apply for Cherryton Academy and start at the same time, though that required an entry exam. After all, a school as prestigious as them isn't just gonna allow some random bum orphans in just because they really want to go there. This however proved to be no issue as the school were willing to provide a list of preparation texts and tips for you to at least make sure you had a shot at making it in. After some hard studying, for which your sister wasn't quite as enthusiastic or determined as you, you both managed to pass the exam.

You were over the moon while your sister, while still happy, wasn't as enthusiastic. Unlike you, she was always more of a lone gal, preferring either her own or a very limited company, which was most often than not you. But while she may not show it outright, you still knew she craved that normal life as it was kind of at your core as a species. Humans are among the most social animals, so a rather lonely environment was bound to get even the introverted humans.

While you were lost in your thoughts, your sister had finally gotten ready after 30 minutes of waiting and began walking down the stairs. Seeing you zoned out , she decided to have a little fun and gave you a wet willy. This sensation naturally made you flinch away from her and by instinct, getting up and running a few steps away from the bench you were previously sat on. As she giggled, you began to speak in an annoyed tone.

"Damn it S/n first you make me wait like half an hour, then you just decide to pull this shit on me. Honestly, why are you like this?" You said as you began to rub your ear in discomfort.

"Hey it's just a dumb little prank, you don't have to take it so seriously. Learn to relax a little and have some fun."

"I know how to do that already, but today isn't exactly the day where I'm in the mood to be having a prank war. I'm locked in on getting to Cherryton and everything going smoothly without problem."

"Fine I get it. I'll dial it back for today. Just  wanted to have one last prank exchange before we got there as you know, we'll likely not interact as much when we get there." she said in a rather dull tone as she slouched and crossed her arms.

"I would expect for us to get friends, be at different sides of the school most of the time and all that, leaving us little room to have sibling shenanigans." she continued
