Chapter 2 [Tragedy at a Blood Moon]

As Legoshi continued to give you a tour, you were practically holding back the urge to begin dancing in a very over the top and cringy fashion. Naturally before you came here, you had spent hours on the school's website looking at photos of classrooms, hallways, dorms and anything else you had on there so you already knew what it was going to look like. Seeing it in person however, that was just a different league of exciting and satisfying. In some weird poetic way, this felt more like the moment you made it rather than when you received the email.

While you were trying to compose yourself a little more so you can focus, Legoshi said something which grabbed your attention .

"And this is the room where the Drama Club meets up." 

"That's nice... wait that's perfect actually! I don't have to try and find it by myself now!" you blurted out in a rather exited but vary awkward tone.

The second after realising how that sounded, a wave of embarrassment and regret washed over you. To your surprise, rather than being entertained and chuckling at your expense, Legoshi instead just turned around with slightly more animated expression on his face. You assumed it was likely surprise of some sort as it was still a dull expression overall so you couldn't tell for sure.

"Ah, were you planning on dropping in to join tomorrow? "

"Yea, it was more of a request on the school's part as they said having a human would really make the club stand out even more."

"Ok this is your chance to try and impress him. Think, from what I can pick up both his voice and his face had become more lively at the revelation of you joining. This must mean he is affiliated with the club at least somewhat, otherwise his reaction would have been nonexistent like it had been up until now. Or maybe it was just a reaction to you being louder than you had been previously. So should I go with this assumption and ask him about it, potentially risking adding more awkwardness to this situation already? Or do I leave it be and let him say something about it? Seeing how he seems to struggle interacting with others about as much as me, I doubt he'll bring it up. You know what, I think I'll risk it and take my shot. I didn't make it all the way here just for me to keep being this reserved kid. " You thought to yourself at lightning speed, barely a few seconds passing, as you turned your gaze to meet Legoshi's.

"Are you a part of it by any chance, Legoshi?"

"Yea, I'm part of the Stage crew. My job is specifically to work the lights, but often help other members too if they request it."

"Bingo! Your gamble has paid off. See? You shouldn't worry to ask, just stop stressing dammit!"

"Also damn, how did manage to think of all of that so fast. Was it some sort of adrenaline. "

"Great, then we can see each other there as well."

"Yea that sounds good." Legoshi responded as he began to worry in his mind.

"I hope that sounded friendly enough. I already feel like I started off on the wrong foot with that stare but he doesn't seem to mind it or feel unsafe around we which is odd. I know humans aren't herbivores considering he was put in our dorm but then again I don't see how he's a carnivore either. For one, he looks far less scary and intimidating than I do but still, a carnivore that size is still bound to unsettle a lot of herbivore students, yet they never glanced at him with a hint of fear even once. Humans do seem like quite the strange animals. Maybe that's why you only really begin to cover them in third year biology. Maybe I should read up a little, that's what Jack's doing anyway..."

As Legoshi kept this train of thought rolling, it was unfortunately nowhere near as fast as yours. As it kept going for over a minute by that point, he became still as a statue which began to make you worried. You waved your hand in front of him but that didn't seem to have an effect. Pondering for a second, you are left with no other choice but to place your hand on his shoulder, very lightly shaking him while saying hey to snap him out of it.
