As always I was sitting in my meeting room with clients around me . They were discussing the upcoming projects. The next project is in New York. I wasn't ready for this project because I wanted to take a little break before the marriage but I had to accept the contract because of my business.
" Then can we start the project next month, Ms. Kim ?" The client asked . A man in his late forties, an American guy named Berk Mendias . I worked with him before too when I was in London but back then, those projects were small . But this time , it's a project and the location is also in a very luxurious place .
" Next month ?" I asked . I'm afraid that if I start the project next month, then probably it's gonna take two to three months to complete it . And I might also have to go to America for this and stay there for days . Will Jungkook be ok with it ? Will I be ok with it ?
" Yes . Actually, I want to use that land for my business purpose, so I want it to be completed as soon as possible . " He said . I can feel the hurry in his voice . He probably wants this project to be done quickly.
I said nothing for a few seconds. Will it be fine to accept the contract right away ? After a big breath , I said , " I understand Mr. Berk . But can I reply to you tomorrow? Actually I have some personal matters too . So I want to think about it for a day and then reply . " I said . I should talk with Jungkook first before accepting the contract. If he thinks it will be ok , then I will accept it . But if not , then I don't want it either . " Will it be ok with you Mr. Berk ?" I asked .
I felt a shocking pair of eyes looking at me . And I know it's from Secretary Jung. I looked away from my client for a second to glare at my secretary. He quickly fixed his posture, closing his wide eyes . I looked back at my client when I heard him saying , " Sure . Why not ? I'll be waiting for your reply tomorrow, Ms Kim . " He said with an understanding smile . I smiled at him too .
After a little bit more discussion, the meeting ended . Mr Berk Mendias and his workers left and I left for my cabin .
" You actually asked for time from your clients ?" My secretary asked who was walking behind me , following me . I know that he will ask me this question for sure .
" Hmm " I hummed and entered my room . I went inside my room and walked toward the snacks compartment and took a chocolate from there . The compartment is full of different kinds of chocolates. And knowing that I like them , Jungkook brought them for me the last time he came here to take me for lunch.
I ripped the wrapper and took a bite from it while sitting on the couch of the room and said , " I think I need to talk to Jungkook about it before signing the contract. Whether he's fine to postpone the wedding or he wants it sooner. "
Secretary Jung sat opposite of me , on the other couch saying , " True though. " He sighed deeply before starting, " You should talk to him too ." I nodded my head while taking out my phone from my pocket. I smiled seeing the wallpaper on my phone. It has been months since I set the picture of me and Jungkook here in my wallpaper. And still now , it never fails to bring a smile to my face .
