Alan: "Oh? Do tell."

Maria: "Well, I went to a bookstore, and the cashier kept talking about how they were having a sale on romance novels. He said it was a sign that I should read more love stories."

Alan: "Interesting. Maybe he's onto something. How about you read a few, and I'll write you my own?"

Maria: "Are you suggesting you're going to pen a romantic novel just for me?"

Alan: "I might not be an author, but I can certainly try my hand at a love letter or two. Consider it a teaser for when we meet."

Maria: "I'm intrigued. If the teaser is anything like your scavenger hunt idea, I'm in for a treat."

Alan: "Absolutely. But remember, the scavenger hunt will involve clues like 'find the place where we meet next', so that'll be tricky."

Maria: "I'll be ready for it. And speaking of meeting, I'm starting to feel like we need a plan. The suspense is both thrilling and agonizing."

Maria: "Sounds like a plan. And maybe by then, you'll have perfected your baking skills. I'm willing to give your creations a chance-if you promise they won't be used as doorstops."

Alan: "Deal. I'll make sure they're edible and not used for any non-culinary purposes."

Maria: "Good. Because if I have to endure another cookie-related disaster, I might need to call in the professionals."

Alan: "Noted. I'll be practicing my baking with utmost seriousness. And if you ever need a laugh, I'll always be here, attempting to impress you with my latest kitchen experiment."

Maria: "I'll hold you to that. And Alan, even though it's tough to be apart, your efforts make it all worthwhile. You have a way of turning my day around, even from afar."
