The next few days, Eunhye tried to avoid Jeno.
She wasn't as unsuccessful since he appeared to be busy with things, being away most hours of the day and arriving quite late at night that she didn't even have to worry about actually cooking for him.
However, as much as she tried to keep a distance, at night, he'd still slip into bed with her and pull her body to him, spooning her.
She didn't know if he knew that she wasn't really asleep, but if he did, he didn't call her out on it for which she was silently grateful.
Three days later, when they were sitting at the kitchen island having breakfast, she was taken aback when Jeno suddenly placed some prescription medicine beside the coffee she was drinking from.
"Here," he said, casually checking his wrist watch.
Eunhye grabbed the box and eyed it curiously, opening it to discover three pallets of pills that were each labelled by the day of the week.
"Is that..." she trailed off, feeling the heat travelling up the contours of her face.
Jeno nodded.
"The contraceptive pill. You should start taking it." He said matter-of-factly.
She glanced up from the box and locked eyes with him.
They'd only had sex once and had used a condom, but the way it seemed he was eager for a repeat of that night.
Eunhye was surprised that he hadn't demanded to sleep with her already, though maybe he'd wanted to allow her to recover from her first time.
In truth, the thought of sleeping with him again made her heart pick up speed, her stomach clenching.
She wasn't sure if she could handle the emotions she'd felt when they'd done it a few days ago, but with him now handing her birth control, she knew that he wasn't only planning on doing it, he wanted to do it without a condom soon.
Damn, she needed to sort out this mess in her head before she allowed him to convince her of that again.
Jeno didn't allow her time to respond as he simply informed her that they were going to have dinner with Jaehyun and Byeol, finished his coffee and then left her for the day again.
Eunhye let out a heavy sigh as she simply took the first pill and washed it down with a sip of her coffee.
She continued to sit there for a long while, staring blankly ahead until she slipped off the barstool and started to gather the dishes, putting them into the sink.
She definitely needed to find something to fill her days with, knowing damn well that lounging around all day and thinking about this maniac wasn't going to do her any good.
Quickly washing the few plates and cups they've used, and putting them away, she curiously opened and closed the few cupboards she hadn't explored yet, until she came face to face with a long cabinet door.
