That night Eunhye didn't get a wink of sleep.

Instead, she laid there, wide-eyed as she came to a glaring conclusion.

Lee Jeno wasn't just a ruthless mafia man who went about his business in a calculating manner, manipulating his way through.

Lee Jeno was a man that was breakable.

His words plagued and revolved around her mind over and over, but no matter how much she tried to make sense of them, she just couldn't.

All she'd understood from them was that Jeno had lost someone close to him and was blaming himself for their death.

And from all the people who had been killed in their mafia family, it was practically pointless for her to guess who it was and if she'd even known them at all.

His arm was heavy around her waist, his breath hot against her neck, and the leg that was thrown over her was cutting her blood flow off.

Yet, why did it feel strangely good to sleep next to him?

Eunhye carefully pushed his arm off and slipped away, quickly getting up.

Jeno didn't wake. His hair was a complete mess and his face looked honest and almost gentle in sleep.

She reached out but stopped herself before she could actually brush her fingers over his forehead.

What was wrong with her?

No matter how hard she'd been fighting it, no matter how much she'd resisted, Eunhye cared about him.

It wasn't just sheer attraction anymore that she felt towards this man.

Deep down, she'd finally realized that after everything that's happened it was the cold-hard facts, the actions, that spoke louder than words.

And what they were saying was this: while her father had given her up and had done nothing to get her back, Jeno had protected and cared for her.

So, shouldn't this be enough for her to give in at last?

When Jeno still hadn't gotten up way after 10am, Eunhye decided just to let him sleep.

In the meantime, she took a quick shower and got dressed, and just as she'd poured herself her first cup of coffee, she heard the persistent sound of the elevator, signalling that someone wanted to come up.

Authorizing the visit, Eunhye was surprised that instead of Byeol, it was actually Jaehyun who walked in, looking vexed.

"Where the hell is he?" he didn't lose any time as he looked around the penthouse, clearly referring to his brother.

"Jeno's asleep". Eunhye stated, watching as Jaehyun's big eyes got even bigger as they shifted towards her.

"Asleep?" he asked in a tone that displayed pure disbelief.
