The following is a collection of folk tunes of various kinds and origins from all over the western world.
As a hobbyist ethnomusicologist I find parallels in how vernacular song evolves deeply fascinating. I have created here a compendium of all the folk songs I care to remember, including some hymns.
Many are American or English, but other European folk tunes may be added.
Much of my work is contained within the Roud Folk Song Index, but I wished to broaden the scope to all languages I can.
This is not a comprehensive, nor even completable task, it is a supertask.
