XIII. DEATH IS A MYSTERY
There was chaos in Goenka Villa. Kairav, Krishna, Vansh, Vatsal had abruptly left their studies and came to the Goenka Villa. Even Krish was present here. The dead bodies of two people whom everyone loved the most were placed in the middle of the hall.
Aarohi, sat quiet, ignoring all the chaos, commotion, tears in the house. She sat quietly, in the middle of both the dead bodies, wrapping her right hand with Kartik's left and left hand with Naira's right.
Though Akshara and Aarohi had cried. Kairav, showed no emotion, he was in his room, all locked up, Kartik and Naira's photographs scattered everywhere.
And..Akshara was nowhere to see. Manish Goenka was busy in making calls to the police - who was busy in searching Akshara. But, she had not returned yet.
'Hey bhagwan! Pehle humse humare Kittu aur Naira ko cheen liya, aur ab Akshu bhi nahi mil rahi' Suhasini said, cursing her fate.
'Maaji, kuch nahi hoga Akshu ko! Woh wapas aa jaayegi...kuch nhi hoga' Swarna hugged Suhasini, who had finally said something. Because since last night, when she heard of Kartik and Naira's demise she was only loosing her sanity.
'Kairav? Kairav ko aise akele nahi chorna chahiye. Maasi aur Bro ke jaane ke baad, Kairav bohot toot chuka hoga kuch bhi galat kar sakta hai' Vansh said to Krish and Krishna. This trio never showed any emotion, but Kaira's death had made them cry. Cry buckets of tears.
'Mai jaati hu' Krishna said in a low, soft voice.
'Nahi, Mai jaaunga! Woh meri baat zarur sunega' Krish said and turned to leave. And this was true, among all Kairav respected Krish the most. Not only because he was the most senior in them, but also how much Naira and Krish were emotionally attached to each other.
Krish lastly looked at Naksh, his father, wailing for his dead sister. His father had already lost his mother, Krish's grandmother, but Naira was someone who was not only Naksh's sister but a part of him.
'Bohot bura kiya hai bhagwaan ne. Maamu aur Buaa ko sabse dur kar diya, ye bhi nhi socha ki unki family ka kya hoga' Krish said to himself, and left.
...........
'Kaisi lagi aapko ye ice cream, beta?' Depressed Akshara was walking through the lane, the lane - leading to Goenka Villa when she stopped at her track, and heard a conversation between a mother and her daughter.
'Acchi hai mumma, par aap sabse best ho' Akshara smiled at the duo, and she got a sense of deja vu. Akshara clutched her heart. She had lost the two most important people of her life. The reason of her existence. Kartik and Naira. Death had won her over.
'Par aap sirf meri mumma ho! I don't like to share you with Swati' The little girl pouted.
'Par beta wo aapki choti behen haina'
Choti behen? Aarohi? Akshara finally remembered that she had a sister. A sister, who was emotionally vulnerable. A sister, who had lost her parents too. A sister, whose feet were bleeding. A sister, whom Akshara had left in the hospital premises when she needed her the most. A sister, whom Akshara had left with the dead bodies of her parents.
Akshara entered into the Goenka Villa. And shut her eyes, when she registered the surroundings in her brain. Last time, she was at the same entrance, hugging her parents.
'Akshu brave hai'
'Mujhe trust hai Akshu sab thik kar degi'
Akshara, stepped into the house when she looked at Aarohi sitting numb between the bodies of her parents. Naksh and Keerti, thrashing their head to the pillar of the house and crying for their dead siblings and the spouse of theirs. Akhilesh Goenka had held Aarohi in his arms, crying pathetically.
