Chaptor 3 - Taken, Cadet Corp! (part 2)

Day Early Chapter!

It's been an entire year since joining the military and becoming a Cadet, and I've improved a lot during my time along with Armin and Eren. Mikasa was still Mikasa AKA being at the top of class for nearly everything she did.

Also me and Christa got closer as I kept training her on how to fight, defend herself and better ways to use the ODM gear. Ymir has also been sticking around a lot, although I'm pretty sure that's entirely because of Christa, but she's been changing over time, instead of being a bitch to me now it's more like we take small joking jabs at one another.

I never expected that it would be like this once I joined the Cadets, but I'm not complaining. Right now I was in the training field with all the other Cadets doing some hand to hand combat again. Although this time, I wasn't paired up with Christa, instead I was paired up with a cadet called Annie.

She was very quiet compared to the rest of the cadets, she was also very pretty when you looked past the stoney expression and the rude comments she made to everyone that looked at her slightly wrong.

Annie: You done?

F/N: Just thinking is all Annie.

Annie: Then stop. This is pointless anyway.

F/N: Oh? And why's that?

Annie: None of this matters for our grade, so anyone putting in their full effort is an idiot, you're an idiot. You're wasting your energy with this shit and so am I.

F/N: I don't think it's a waste at all, it proves that we've been putting our all into wanting to protect the people, and that to me is more important than some stupid ideology that you're tying to use as an excuse to stop training. So put your arms up and get ready.

It was only there for a second, but I still saw it, and it made me happy knowing I managed to make Annie surprised. For that short second I noticed Annie's mouth open in shock only for her to close it quickly with a glint in her eyes, and thankfully she listened.

I watched Annie get into her usual defensive stance that always filled my mind with wonder, every time I saw her use this move I wanted her to teach it to me, but sadly she never talked with anyone so I never got the chance to ask her to teach me.

Holding the wooden knife in my hand tightly I dashed towards her with a plan set, I swung my knife at her before fainting into a leg sweep which she easily jumped over and attempted to kick me in the face, but during my leg sweep I picked up some soil from the floor and threw it into her face making Annie gasp in shock and lose her balance.

Using this to my advantage I dashed forward as fast as possible and wrapped my arms under her legs before picking her up and body slamming her into the floor. Upon contact with the ground Annie wrapped her legs around one of my arms and started to pull, it felt almost as if she was trying to break my arm.

But I wasn't going to give up and let her win. Instead of sitting there trying to break out of her grip I lifted her up using my one arm making her eyes widen in shock before I slammed her body back into the floor making her spit up some saliva before letting go of my arm.

Flipping Annie onto her stomach I placed one of her arms onto her back before pressing my knee against it and pressing the wooden knife against her throat.

F/N: And that's my conviction Annie.

Annie: fuck.... That hurt bastard.... But I admit... that was a dirty move with the dirt.

F/N: What, you expect others to play fair in an actual fight?

Annie: I just agh... don't see how this helps us... hand to hand combat can't beat titans, you know that.
