"What's the matter pup?"  A half-blind old man name Jay park croons to Chaeyoung as he offers his hand to the mistaken dog to sniff through the bars of the cage.

Chaeyoung whimpers in response, wishing her head would quit throbbing.

Jay Park was a kind soul, who years ago manifested grit to open a no-kill shelter long before the idea took off in the mainstream.

"You're such a pretty dog you know that? Now I wonder" he studies Chaeyoung intently his cloudy eyes focusing on his as best they could, "are you a husky or maybe a kind of sled dog? You're a complicated dog aren't you, even you're gender is complicated"

Only a half-blind dog-catcher wouldn't recognize a wolf Chaeyoung thought, giving the man's hands a nudge and sniff. I guess I should be thankful he hasn't had cataract surgery yet.

Chaeyoung pulls her head back quickly from Jay's friendly overture, her over-heightened canine senses going bonkers over what she finds Jay smells like bacon grease this morning.

Typically she didn't mind that scent who didn't like bacon? but this morning it made her stomach churn. That was entirely her fault though as she brought it up on herself last night's drunken rampage the one that had landed her in here. She'd behaved like such an idiot.

Shapeshifting werewolves or wolves as they were known to their human counterparts had inhabited the woods surrounding Korea for hundreds of years and lived amongst the people in human form for almost as long. No one thought much of seeing a wolf roam the city's outlying fields or groups of them congregating on the edges of farmland.

Seeing a wolf roam the middle of town on a Friday night, however? That had gotten her busted by the law, more specifically the officials. None of this would've happened if Chaeyoung hadn't gotten into the stash of neugdae alkool an alcohol  drink with wolfs bane in it( the only thing  that can get a werewolf wasted) with her brother earlier in the night.

Jung hoon had better spring me out of here and quick she thinks resting her head on her paws. Though she can break the cage on herself transforming is out of the question, members of the pack could never let humans watch them shapeshift, she had to hang tight for now.

"Are you hungry bud?" Jay ask unlocking her door a moment later and sliding in a bowl of kibble.

Chaeyoung whines, turning her face from the food. Even if she hadn't felt as though she might get sick in here, she will only eat dog food as a last resort.

Yes she had tasted kibble and no she didn't like it.

"Maybe you got into something nasty while you were out on your own a dead animal or something? Did it give you a tummy ache, I wonder..."

Chaeyoung coughs a little, covering the gag she feels at the idea of decomposing roadkill. Run-of-the-mill wolves might eat roadkill but her kind would not.

"Here's some water for you." Jay slids the second dish inside the crate.

Chaeyoung couldn't help it she yips and put her head in the bowl, taking long, undignified slurps of the water. She typically didn't like eating or drinking in her wolf form but sometimes it couldn't be helped. What she wishes for was some aspirin or medicines for her hangover.
