My heartbeat increased, the room spun, and I broke into a sweat. My breaths were shaky and I stared at what lay in front of me.

There was a wall where the elevator once was. A barren, grey wall.

"W-what?" Bri trembled. "Where is the elevator?"

My head slowly turned to face Bri, whose hands were in her hair, gripping it desperately.

"What the fuck is this?" Julian said.

My head turned to Julian. His eyes were shot open. "Where is the elevator?"

"I-I don't know!" Gigi cried. "It was right here! When I turned around, it was gone!" She flailed her arms towards the wall. "I don't know what happened! Did we do something wrong?"

"I don't know! We followed everything!" Cole said. "Maybe we should have talked to the women?"

"If we talked to the lady back there, we would be dead Cole. Dead!" Gigi yelled.

"We don't have an elevator, how are we going home?" Julian asked.

"Guys," I said. "let's just think. I know we're all scared, but-"

"What is there to think of if we can't go home!" Bri yelled. "The elevator is gone, we're stuck who knows where, and who knows whom or what is lurking here!"

I sighed. "We have to rational, maybe there is another elevator somewhere else, or it just teleported."

I heard Cole scoff. "Teleported?"

"Well who knows!" I raised my voice. "That's why we have to think instead of being desperate."

Everyone quieted down. We all looked at each other, wondering who will propose a plan first.

"We should explore the building." I said.

"What? Are you crazy?" Julian hissed. "You-I mean, we can get hurt. Who knows who is in here!"

I furrowed my brows when he corrected himself, but I let it slide. I closed my eyes, shaking my head. "I know, but we can't just stand here waiting for something magical to happen." I opened my eyes and looked at everyone. "If we stick together, we'll be fine, I promise."

I saw them exchanging glances of concern and worry, but Julian gave a firm, reassuring nod. "She's right."

A small smile tugged my lips. "Thanks." I looked at Julian. I gave inhaled, then exhaled, trying to calm my nerves. "Alright, I saw a couple of doors down that hallway when I looked out the window." I pointed towards the window. "We could start to look in there. Maybe there might be clues on how to escape, or we just need to get another elevator and do the game again."

I began to walk towards the window, everyone following behind me.

Julian caught up beside me. I looked at him. "Thanks for calming everyone down."

Julian smirked. "No problem. It looked like you need to be calmed down too."

I frowned. "What? I don't know what your talking about."

Julian chuckled softly. "Your eyes said something else."

I looked at him. "Why were you paying attention to my eyes?"

Julian froze. "Well, we are getting off topic here." His turned his head around for a short moment before looking at the floor beneath his feet. "We are all scared."

I gave a slow nod. "Yeah, who wouldn't be scared." My words barely came out as a whisper. He was right, we were all scared, including me. I didn't want to admit it, but deep down, I was scared, terrified actually. I had to be strong for everyone else.
