I stirred awake, feeling dizzy. I groaned as I moved my head up, my neck sore from me looking down for a long time.

I looked around, my eyes adjusting to the darkness. It looks like I was in an office room, a big one, however, the furniture was pilled up in the corner of the room. I turned to looked at the window, only to see that they were covered by moldy, wooden planks. The moonlight managed to seep through the cracks, the only source of light in this room.

I tried to stand up, but I was immediately yanked down. I looked behind me and saw that my hands were tied together, the rope connecting to the wall behind me.

I sighed. I looked around, trying to find anything that I could use to potentially cut myself free. I had to get out of here, I had to find Julian. I need to make sure if he was okay, if the rest of the group was okay.

I squirmed, trying to free myself from the rope. I looked behind me. The rope wasn't loosening at all, making my frustration grow. I attempted to move my wrists, but instead I got rope burns. I winced.

I sat there thinking of ways that I could free myself. I squirmed again, until I heard faint footsteps. I froze.

"You're awake."

My head snapped in front of me. A figure was standing there, hidden by the shadows.

I swear, every creepy figure in this building is hidden in the shadows.

I squinted my eyes. They were leaning against the wall, and I could tell that they were smirking.

"Who are you?" I managed to say. I cursed myself for sounding too hostile.

The figure chuckled. "Not even a, 'thank you' for sparing your life?" They scoffed, sarcasm evident in their tone of voice. "Typical."

I frowned. I leaned my head forward to try to get a better look at the figure, but the darkness still hid them.

"You know, you should have given that paper when my friend asked you to." The figure stepped away from the wall and took a step towards me. "Tsk tsk, such a shame that someone like you doesn't understand the consequences of not following orders."

The figure took another step, stopping right where he would be illuminated by the moonlight.

"If you would have followed his orders, you wouldn't be here right now, and my friend wouldn't be hunting down your friend."

My blood ran cold. Julian.

I squirmed again, trying to free myself, which was just a good way to waste my energy. "What are you going to do to him?" I said, my blood boiling.

The figure laughed. "Relax. Don't worry, he'll be alright." The figure paused. "If my friend doesn't catch him"

My eyes widened. "You piece of-"

"Damn, I never knew humans from another dimension were this feisty."

I froze. "Huh?"

The figure crackled. "Never mind. If I were you, I would be throwing- or trying to throw fists by now." The figure shook their head. "But instead, you go 'huh?!' You're not as feisty as I am, or, when I'm not pissed off."

I stared at them. I was confused, and scared. They sounded like a lunatic, a total psycho.

The figure finally stepped into the moonlight. My eyes widened as I stared at a demon. A living, breathing one. It was a girl, she looked like a normal human girl, but she had red hair, pale skin, and red eyes.
