Skylor sat in class. What a boring first week it had been. The only highlight was the second day...

Skylor walked down the hall, stopping by her locker. She turned it, 20, 18, 4, and opened it. She took out a notebook for her next class and as she shut her locker the one next to it opened. Skylor fell backward with a gasp. The girl next to her panicked.

"Oh god! Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" She said, reaching a hand out to Skylor.

Skylor accepted the hand. Who wouldn't accept a hand from such an Angel? Wait- what?

"Are you okay?" She asked. Skylor nodded. "That's good! Sorry for the scare. I'm Vania." Vania said, letting go of Skylor's hand.

"Skylor. And it's okay." Skylor replied.

She looked at Vania, she was pretty pale and she had long blond-gold hair. Her locker was full of cat themed items.

"I know it's childish," Vania said, noticing Skylor's staring. "But I just love cats!" She said with a smile. She grabbed a photo of a white cat. "This is my cat, Chompy." Skylor nodded, "lovely," She said, not necessarily about the cat.

It was going well til Kai came up. "Sky! You'll never guess what happened!!!" He said. He immediately felt bad for interrupting her gay moment, but he would apologize later.

"Woah, hold your horses." She said, annoyed by his presence and his excitement.

"But babyyyy..." he joked. She glared at him and turned to Vania with a smile.

"Ignore my 'boyfriend' he can be pretty annoying. Im happy to meet you, but I have to go now. Have a great day!" Skylor said.

Vania nodded. "Of course! Bye!" She said smiling.

Skylor was still mad at him, not necessarily for interrupting but also the "baby" thing. She knew how she needed to act tho. Just a couple months. You'll live. She told herself.

The upcoming weekend Kai invited Skylor over. "Hey, bitch." Kai said as she walked in. "Hey, ya parents here?" She asked, looking around.

"Nope! Out for a bit with Nya. We get alone time." He says, adding a joke at the end.

She shoves his shoulder and rolls her eyes. "Don't say it like that." She threatened.

"Anyway come in! I have to tell you something!" He said excitedly, he dragged her in the house.

He was used to this. Talking to Skylor. His parents were kinda stupid and never put up security cameras, the day they do that he's dead either way, so he can say whatever he wants.

He does have a tracker app than gives alerts of when they get home, so they can start talking normally.

"Sooooo~ how was your first week?" He asked.

Skylor shrugged. "Boring as hell for sure. Met a cute girl tho. Before SOMEONE interrupted." She said.

"Sorry..." Kai said.

"All good. Anyway I've talked to her a couple times now. She seems nice. And she's pretty."

"Friend now, girlfriend later." Kai joked. Skylor rolled her eyes with a smile.

"If this crush lasts that long. Anyway, how bout you?" She said.

Kai smiled and that's when Skylor knew, she fucked up.

"Soooo~ first day when I zoned out, I noticed a really cute guy! I did talk to him yesterday since he's in my class. His name is Cole and he likes music. He was shocked I spoke to him since he heard I was popular or some shit. How am I popular? How are WE popular? We're literally closeted gay people pretending to date." Kai ranted.

Skylor shook her head. "I have no idea. This Cole guy sounds like he's cute tho."

Kai nodded. "The cutest." He laid back and covered his face. He began kicking his legs like a giddy schoolgirl. "He's so sweet and his voice is gentle, god I'm falling hard."

"I can tell." Skylor said. Kai stopped kicking his legs and looked at her.

"Shut the fuck up." He said, crossing his arms.

She laughed and they continued talking. Eventually Kai's parents came home and asked Skylor to eat dinner with them, so she did. In all it was great.

Hopefully it stays great.
