GANGA'S POV

"Hey, cutie!" I said, puckering my lips as I gave a tiny flying kiss to the live crab.

"Ouu, aren't you a lady?" I said as the crab moved in the cold ice water.

"Come to mama," I mumbled as I tried to get her, but then she moved. I huffed as I finally grabbed her and took her to the counter.

Upon placing the crab on the counter, I grabbed the knife and held it. I took a deep breath as I mumbled.

"RIP,"

I was about to behead it, but then,

"AAAAAAAAAAH!"

"WHAT, WHAT, WHAT?" Lucas shouted as he looked around, pointing the rolling pin as if it were a gun.

"AAAAAH!" I cried out as I held my finger, which got bitten by the crab.

I heard some giggles, but then I saw the head chef walk towards me.

"Hey, hey, calm down; what happened?" she asked, looking worried.

I suddenly forgot all the pain as I looked into her worried eyes. She ducked down a little, looking at my finger as she held it gently.

I raised my gaze, looking at her, as I felt her fingers start a fire in my heart. Electric shocks running in my veins as she mumbled something looking at me, of which I had no idea.

It almost looked like there were flowers were behind her back. Looking straight out a fairytale.

"Are you fucking deaf? What the fuck are you doing?" She asked as I was pulled out of my dream land. I looked around, confused, as I saw some of the people stare at me as I flashed a smile.

"Umm, the cutie bit me," I said as she looked distraught.

"Whaaat?" She asked.

"Not you, I mean the crab," I said, pointing at the culprit. I heard a snicker as I looked in the direction and realized it was Huan.

"Focus on your work, Huan!" She shouted as he quickly went back to his work.

"Yes, chef!"

"And you, is this how you deal with a crab?" She asked as I pressed my lips in a firm line. I looked down as she glared at me.

I tried to remain serious, but a smile crept its way as I realised that her fingers were still in contact with mine.

"Where are you trying to slow dance with the crab?" She asked as I giggled.

"What was that?" She asked as I shook my head.

Her fingers left mine as she walked over to the crab. She held the knife, and in one swipe, the crab went immobile.

"It's a living animal; if you extend the time of suffering, I will assume you are a psychopath." She said this as I shot my head up.

"Respect the animal; if you can save its time of suffering by ending it quickly, then that's the best," she said as I nodded.

"BACK TO WORK, ALL OF YOU!" she shouted as they all went back.

"Remove the shell and give it to Sumaira," she said as she walked towards her counter.

"Yes, chef," I said as I went to the crab and began taking its shell off.

"You okay?" Jenny asked as she looked at me.

"Yup, my finger just hurt a bit," I responded as she nodded.

"She is mean," Jenny said as I frowned.

"Heyy, you are talking about my future girlfriend," I said as she stopped chopping the carrot and looked at me in shock.

"Even after the scolding, do you still like her?"

"More than ever,"

"It couldn't be me; she literally asked you if you were deaf."

"You are looking at me in one way, but you didn't see how she held my hand. Oh, so gently," I said, looking at my finger that was previously in contact with hers.

"Huh?"

"And the way she respected the animal, she is such a gentle woman," I said, looking at her, who was working on a dish.

"She respected the animal more than she respected us."

"Respect should be gained."

"Then did she gain your respect?" Jenny asked, looking at me as I smiled.

"This morning, when she asked about my nose, she gained my respect and my heart," I mumbled as she sighed.

I worked on the crab, finally removing all the waste and shell as I walked towards her.

"Behind, chef!" I said as she turned. She looked at the naked crab and nodded.

She grabbed it as she turned. I pouted sadly as she didn't say anything, dropping my shoulder. I turned to walk back as a sigh escaped my lips.

"Ganga," she called.

I paused, my eyes lighting up as I pressed my lips together to hide my smile as I turned.

"Is your finger okay?" She asked, and I felt the arrow of Cupid hit again as I looked up at her, nodding.

"Be careful next time," she said, turning around as she went back to her work.

I didn't think twice before as I flew a flying kiss in her direction; she didn't notice it as she had her back turned towards me.

I floated back to the counter, feeling almost lightweight as I looked at Jenny, smiling widely.

"What's with the smile?"

"She told me to be careful next time," I said as she raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"God, she is perfect." I mumbled as I looked in her direction.

"Love is blind."

I looked to the side to see Sumaira, who smirked.

"I saw that flying kiss," she said as Jenny gasped.

"YOU...blew..a flying kiss?" She asked in horror as I nodded.

"Jenny, if she lets me, I will fly and kiss her," I said, leaning over to the counter as I rested my face on my palm.

"Sumaira, you are Indian, right?" I asked.

"Last time I checked, yeah."

"You know the song Chaleya?" I asked as Jenny squeaked.

"I know, I know!" she said excitedly.

"I don't understand, but I saw the subtitles, and I love that song," Jenny said as I had my gaze fixed on the head chef, who was scolding Alen.

"These days, that song is my theme."

"Cringe"

"I finally understood what Arjit meant when he said," I began.

"Oh Main Taan Chaleya Teri Oar,

Tera Chaleya Hai Zor,
Tera Hoya Main Yaar Ve,
Bhuleya Ae Sansaar Ve," I mumbled, as Sumaira giggled.

"You are pretty bad at singing," she said as I glared at her.

"Hey, translate, please," Jenny said as Sumaira sighed.

"It means I am coming towards you; you have taken control over me; I am yours and have forgotten the world."

"Aww, that's romantic," she said.

"Cringe,"

"That's because you are not in love," I said as Sumaira passed a glare.

"Work, otherwise she will end you."

We all began working on different dishes, but I couldn't help but look at her.

Stealing tiny glances, she looked gorgeous, and when the fire reflected against her skin, she looked like a goddess.

I worked around, and the rest of the day went on, with me occasionally looking at her and her shouting. It was a successful day of being in love.
