MAHI'S POV

The meeting will take place in a few hours, and I am more than nervous.

I walked towards the counter, grabbing the next orders.

"Sumaira, one carbonara," I ordered.

"Yes, chef,"

"Lucas, is the matcha mochi done?" I asked as he nodded.

"Just a minute, chef,"

I turned around without paying attention, but then almost got a heart attack when I saw Ganga stand like a ghost in front of me.

"Are you trying to give me a heart attack?" I asked as she looked at me with a sad face.

I looked away, rubbing my temple as I looked at her, annoyed.

Since yesterday, every time I look at her face, it's the same damn face, looking at me like I murdered her childhood pet.

"Whattt?" I asked as she shook her head and walked back.

I turned, walking towards the crab, which had been sitting on the counter for a while.

I will accept this. I feel absolutely guilty that I shouted at her, and technically, I feel the same with everyone, but this one in particular has been messing with my mind.

And now this damn sad face is just making me snap.

I shook the thought off as I heard Lucas shout.

"Behind!"

I turned, looking at the mochi as I gave it to him, and, from the corner of my eyes, I felt like someone was staring at me.

I looked in that direction and flinched, seeing her look at me with a sad face all the way across the room.

Not just that, the way she is so slowly and lightly, almost too gently massaging the dough, is making me cringe.

"JENNY, take Ganga's place, and you, COME OUT FOR A MINUTE!" I yelled. Jenny quickly went to her place, doing a much better job with the dough, and Ganga walked towards me at the speed of a turtle.

I can feel myself age with the speed of her walking.

"Ganga, faster!" I said, and she walked towards me as I said,

"Follow,"

I walked out, going towards the staff room, and turned as I saw her stand there with the same sad face.

"What are you doing?" I asked, crossing my hands as she looked at me dumbfounded.

"Vidhaii hain?"

"Is it your bridal send-off?"

She shook her head, looking down as I groaned.

"Can you stop making that face, please? I'm begging you." I cried out as she looked at me with tearful eyes that made a 440-volt run through my veins.

"Ya, ya, stop crying!" I said, panicking as she started crying.

"AYE, STOP!" I yelled, making her cry more as I looked around in panic.

"Ganga, shut, stop!" I said, putting my index finger against her lips as she stopped, looking at her tearful eyes.

I let out a sigh of relief as I took my hand off, but then she started again.

I looked at her hopelessly as she wept; even I wanted to cry now.

After a good minute, she finally stopped.

"Done?" I asked as she nodded.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

"I don't knowww," she cried out.
