Chapter 8 : Missing Him?

Time has passed ever since the 'incident' of telling inappropriate jokes or attempting to make Zephyr uncomfortable happened. . .

Priel..was lonely.

Unfortunately, there had been no one to annoy for the past few days, although being accompanied by Zephyr during evenings, he always disappointingly disappeared during mornings.

Priel never asked the reason why, however, he was curious.

Continuesly asking himself questions when he knows that he can't rely on himself for answering them.

He had tried getting Zephyr's attention by ruining the tidiness of his room. However, everytime he opened his eyes on the morning, everything was the same as before. Priel just gave up.

Priel paced around the room, occasionally sitting or rolling around the king sized bed for his own entertainment.

Even if he can go outside the room, guards would still be able to spot him even if he snoops around the castle corner by corner.

Even though the past few days passed, Priel managed to miss annoying Zephyr, even though he had no reaction.

He sighed, his mind trailing off to Zephyr. The way he moved, blinked and turned the page of the book he was reading...And also the occasional curve at the end on his mouth everytime Priel looked at him..

Priel couldn't believe it.

Was he..attracted to Zephyr?..

No..it can't be possible right?

Well, not being homophobic it's just that Zephyr, the prince of the kingdom who literally obliterated theirs, humiliated him, and also kidnapped him! How could he like such a person?!

Priel shook his head, trying to get the thought away.

He sat up and decided to face his feelings at the real person. Not the person inside his delusional mind.

Priel dangled his feet beside the bed and stood up, walking towards the door before quietly opening it to check if there was anyone around.

Well, yes, Priel did spot a few guards roaming around but that can't stop Priel, right?

So he quickly sprinted outside and ran down the hall as fast as he can, as if he knows where he was going.

Priel looked behind him while sprinting, seeing there was no one chasing him, he felt relieved.

As he was about to stop, he suddenly fell on his back as Priel hissed in pain.

"Ow!" Priel placed his hand the part where it hurts and massaged his backside.

"Oh! Sorry your majesty! I didn't see you! Please spare me!!"

Priel looked up at the tall man, as he was greeted with deep red eyes, which looked intimidating but according to the expression on his face, he was worried. Seeing the man in armour, he could already tell he was a knight.

"Your majesty?" Priel attempted to stand up, only flinching at the moment.

The knight in armour noticed his bearable attempt as he quickly picked him up as if he was picking a baby.

Priel's eyes widened as he was helped up as if a child, being carried like that.. This man obviously had strength.

"Thanks.." He mumbled, "Why are you begging for my mercy?" Priel asked.

"Well uhh..I only joined the knights yesterday and today is my first day and I'm really nervous, I didn't actually mean to bump to the prince.." The knight blabbered, embarrassment filling his handsome face.

"The prince? Me?"

"Well, yeah..I don't know the prince's name yet..nor have seen him.."

"Oh well," Priel smirked, knowing this was a perfect opportunity to do 'his thing'.

"I think you must be speaking of my elder brother, Zephyr. He is cold and ruthless"

The knight's eyes looked down at Priel, intently listening.

"I'm Priel, but please state to me as 'his majesty' whenever speaking of me outside or inside castle walls." He 'introduced' himself.

The reason why Priel requested to be called 'his majesty' is that whenever this knight talk about him around his friends or other knights, they would think it's Zephyr and nobody would know that the knight got tricked.

"Oh! Very well your majesty! I'm Claude Monet, please refer to me as Claude" The knight introduced himself too.

"Good. Nice to meet you Claude, now please let me through because I'm in a hurry.."

"Okay your majesty, safe trips. And next time, please look where you're going" Claude responded.

"I will." Priel waved at him as he walked past Claude and turned the corner of the hall.

Priel sighed in relief, feeling better now that he had no need to interact with a newbie guard.

Before a moment of zoning out, re-thinking the whole situation he was in, Priel suddenly remembered the quest he was in. But of course, Claude had to appear and make him do a quick side-quest.. Priel looked around, scanning the area for guards and continued sprinting his way down the long halls, not really caring about the reminder that guard gave him.

After a moment of panting, running, hiding and selecting which one to go to; left or right, Priel managed to find the stairs leading to the castle garden.

Maybe this could help Priel have a quick glance at how big the castle was?

He slowly took heavy steps on the stairs, panting every now and then, catching his breath.

He turned the door knob, pulling the door towards him, opening it.

He slowly and lazily went outside, towards the garden. Priel took a deep breath, enjoying the fresh air the grass emitted.

He walked deeper into the garden, spotting a small figure in the distance swinging an unknown item, however, Priel could already tell what this was.

This piqued his interest has he slowly crept unto the person.

He hid behind the shadows if those tall trees surrounding the area.

Priel observed the person further, seems like this was a sword training session.

He must admit though, the way the sword almost cut through the air, the moves were elegant yet precise.

Priel smirked, knowing that he's actually 'better' than this person.

He tilted his head closer, wanting to figure out who this person was.

Priel continued watching intently.

The way his hair moved smoothly with the wind, the sunlight dancing on his handsome and pale face and the way the sword would be moving with his body, almost as if he was showing off.

Priel squinted his eyes, trying to get a clear vision of his face only to be greeted by a deep cold voice..

"I'm surprised you can watch me intently like that when you can't even listen to simple instructions properly."
