"Tu ne peux pas te cacher pour toujours."
"You can't hide forever." The man with dark long, levitating hair says as he stands at the foot of my bed. I sit there in horror unaware if I'm dreaming or not. He closes in on me as the air around me becomes heavy making it harder to breathe.I panic as I begin panting out of fear. I try to stand up to run but I'm unable to move. I close my eyes as hard as I can as I feel the stiffness in my body leave. I open my eyes to my empty, dark room. I'm still panting, as I was in the dream as I sit up and grab my cover and walk towards the kitchen.
I wrap the cover around me as the cool air conditioning sends goosebumps down my skin. I turn the kitchen light on as I begin to steam a cup of tea. I'll make some tea and head back to sleep; I try to be quiet, not trying to wake Ash. I put the tea bag in the hot water as I make my way back to my room.
I open the door as I walk in and shut it behind me, leaving nothing but the uneasiness of the reoccurring nightmare pacing through my thoughts. I sit my tea down as I open my phone and begin to watch a podcast. I sip my hot tea as I smile in pleasure. Mmm. Lavender chamomile is amazing.
I take my time drinking my cup of tea as I begin to feel sleepy again. I finally fall back asleep, but not for long. The sunlight creeps in behind the curtains as I roll over and try to rest my eyes a bit longer. I got some sleep I guess... I place the pillow over my head as I hear Ash walking through the house, probably getting dressed for the day.
My mind begins to drift to sleep as a cloudy figure appears in my thoughts. The person smiles as I begin to realize who it is. Itsuki. He reaches out and extends his hand as I take it. Right before anything happens I hear a knock at my door. Ash barges in as I sit up and begin to stretch. She pushes the breakfast tray in as we both begin to choose items from it to eat.
"I'm not excited to go underground today." Ash says as she pouts and crosses her arms.
I take a croissant as I spread butter over it. "Come on Ash, it won't be that bad." I say as I take a bite of the fluffy pastry. The buttery, sweet flavor fills my mouth as content falls over me.
"I'm going to freak out if any bones touch me." She says as she makes a fruit yogurt parfait and begins to eat it.Of course Ash wouldn't want to go to the Catacombs, it's definitely not her style.
"Just relax and stay by the group." I assure her as she slightly smiles.
"It's still going to suck, but this parfait is so good." She says as she we both giggle. We finish our breakfast as Ash goes back to her room as I begin to get dressed. I put on a pair of black jeans, and a red babydoll top. I put on my boots as I brush my hair out and throw it into a messy bun. I go to put on makeup as I put on a little bit of mascara and lip gloss.
Ash wears a full face of makeup, full designer outfits, her hair is always perfect. As where I'm just... not as attentive to those things as she is. She's from a wealthy family, so I can see why she does dress the way she does.
We meet back in the hallway as Ash grabs her purse and her sunglasses.
"Prête!" She says as I smile and agree.
"Ready!"
We walk out the door as I grab the key behind us and tuck it in my pocket. We begin to walk to the elevator as excitement falls over me, for the catacombs are what I've been looking forward to the most. You would think so many bones in one place would be scary, but it doesn't scare me... I love old architecture.
We meet our class in the lobby as we all stand and wait for Mrs. Wilson.
"I'm still have the ick about going to this walk in coffin." Ash says as she shudders.
"It's not gonna be that bad Ash." I say as I smile at her.
"Maybe not for you." She pouts.
