I tighten my grip around Itsuki's torso as I bury my face into his hoodie. I try to hide from my thoughts about the very memorable day I've had. I begin to think about if my mom knows that the necklace would ward away Asa...
So much on my mind as unanswered questions cause my brain to overload. Itsuki and I finally arrive to the hotel that my class is staying at as he parks at the side. He scans the area as we both get off. He takes his helmet off as I do the same. He shakes his white hair as it falls perfectly over his face.
He notices my stare as his cheeks begin to turn red and a small grin appears on his face.
"I wrote my number, and Kenzo's number on this." He hands me a small piece of paper as I glance at, there's two phone numbers written on it.
"Call either of us if you need anything." He puts his helmet back on as he slides the chin guard up revealing his lower face.
"Also keep the necklace on that you have."I nod at him as he closes his helmet back and gets on his bike and revs it. He takes off as I begin to walk towards the hotel. I walk into the double doors as Itsuki radiates within my mind. I wonder why he made that contract without being assigned to do it?
I smile as I walk into the elevator and check the time. My class should have only gotten back a couple hours ago... I doubt they missed me... accept Ash. I see her standing in the elevator with Mrs. Wilson with a worried look on her face.
She sees me as they both smile.
"She's not missing she's right here." Mrs. Wilson says as she waves us both off and leaves.
"She probably thinks I'm crazy! I looked for you alone for so long! I just asked her for help then here you are!" She facepalms as she grabs my hand and leads me into the elevator."Where have you been?"
"I uh- I got really lost and our guide sucked." I lie to her as she scoffs.
"You said my guide might be hot? Nope! My guide was not cute. She was a bitch." Ash says as she begins to fake cry.
"All those nasty bones... I wanted to peel my skin off."
"Yeah. I agree with you. I'm not going back either." I say content with never going back there again. The fear still lingers from Asa. Before it can manifest into a full blown panic attack, I remember Itsuki's contract with me relieving me from the fear somewhat. Ash's phone goes off as she answers it and begins arguing with someone.
"No Eric! I told you I'm done." She finally says as she hangs up.
"He's been blowing me up since we left!" She says exasperated.Eric is her ex boyfriend. He's on the football team... and he's an ex because he cheated on Ash. He's a sleazy sleaze bag.
"Eww." I say as I scrunch my nose.
"Right." She says as the elevator opens. We begin to walk towards the room as Ash flips her hair and pulls out a piece of paper with a number.
"Good news is, I got a cute French boys number after leaving the catacombs." She waves the paper as she flutters her eyelashes.
I giggle at her as she giggles with me.We walk into the room as we both plop down onto the sofa.
"I already ordered pizza... I was feeling big today." She says as I scoff.
"Pizza is always good." I grab a slice as I begin to eat Ash puts on a reality television show.We watch the show as she talks about the people on the show and about Eric. She talks about other things but my mind begins to wander. I think about what Itsuki said about a prophesy... I wonder what that's all about.
So much happened today and not much was explained... I wish that I could talk to someone that would explain everything to me. I lean back onto the sofa as I begin to feel drowsy from the hectic day, I drift to sleep.
I wake up on the sofa with the television still playing, I notice the moonlight is the only other light in the room. I stand up as I stretch and check the time. It's half past midnight. I yawn as I turn the light on and the television off.
