Your mind became blank, breathing unsteady as your vision nearly blurred from the adrenaline that rushed through your veins.

Shaking hands gradually lifted themselves to your view blood staining your palms and fingertips, as your eyes focused from your blood-smeared fingers to the body laid out before you- your cracked bloody lips slowly parted; a muted scream couldn't be ripped out of your lungs as the ringing in your ears was interrupted by the familiar vocals of your father.
