Overwhelming emotion flooded your mind, a part of you wanted to engulf your childhood friend in a hug but you didn't want to make things awkward. After all, it's been years since you had last spoken to her.
"I heard this civilian was a witness in a Kaiju attack but I didn't expect you to be here as well, are you his partner?"
A burst of laughter escaped Koda's lips before you could answer, the male placed a palm against his stomach; howling in laughter. "Her? Please! Even if she was the last person on earth no way!" he exclaimed, looking towards you his laughter halted once he sensed your dangerous aura seeping from your figure causing him to quickly explain yourself.
"N...Not that you're ugly or anything! I just...you know... don't seek interest in your kind- woah! That sounds so wrong I-I'm-" Clearing his throat his voice lowered as he rolled his wrist and nervously looked away from your glare, "I'm gay. She's a friend." Koda stated, looking at Mina who merely nodded.
"I see, well I would have one of our officers take a statement from you, Koda correct?... I will not interrupt your resting any further." Mina mentioned, she turned on her heels, and walked out of the room- Koda cleared his throat gaining your attention. The young male nodded for you to follow as her officers approached the male to question him about his witness.
Nodding, you brushed past the officers and followed after Mina; once stepping into the hallway you glanced around until your eyes landed on her figure walking away. "Mina!" called out to the female although she didn't stop you could tell she had slowed her pace for you to catch up.
Once you began to walk by her side, you felt your heart beginning to race; why were you so nervous?... this is the same girl you used to have sleepovers at her house with when you were younger. It's not like she's a stranger... She is just a commander of the force you want to desperately be in... no sweat right?
