The ground was drenched by blood. The Kingdom of Adrinth was losing its soldiers. However, their will to protect their land prevented them from succumbing.
On the battleground, instead of leading, Maruthi, the adviser and a friend of the king, was fighting himself. Despite being skilled, an enemy soldier managed to strike at his blind spot.
There defending Maruthi was King Akshara, stabbed instead of Maruthi. While he breathed his last breath, he uttered,
" Protect my daughter and make her an heir.... at any cost!"
Maruthi couldn't take it anymore. He came up with a different strategy and defeated them. However, he couldn't take the brunt of the king's death.
He should've been the one protecting the king. He wished he could've died in the battle instead. Guilt took over him. He suicide a day after.
