Killua placed his hands behind his head in satisfaction as he listened for the three teams that advanced to the finals be announced. His team in first, 'Todoroki's' team in second, and Bakugou's team in third. Killua glanced around, trying to figure out who exactly Todoroki was. He spotted the other team who had a headband, it was that kid with two toned hair with the ice. Ah, Lychee head. He realized. As the winning teams were announced, Wow, I'm the only one who's not in class 1-A who made it. "Good luck in the finals Hatsume." he said, with a grin in her direction. She let out a squeal. "I can't wait to show my super cute babies off!!"
Just as Killua was about to head out for lunch, he noticed that the majority of his ex opponents were muttering and glancing at him. Some of them even shooting him glares. They don't seem to like me very much. Killua shrugged, heading off to find a food stand. He wasn't too terribly hungry, but he could never pass up food vendors. As he wandered around eyeing all the options, a particular one caught his eye. He approached a stall filled with many baked goods. Mini cakes, cupcakes, cookies, icecream bars. As he approached, the woman running the stall looked a bit startled, as if not expecting him to approach her. He got that a lot as he started growing taller and more visibly muscular.
Apparently nobody thought a tall muscled male would enjoy sweets for some reason. Killua's eyes sparkled, scanning over his options. "Oh man, those look so good. Can I get one of those chocolate cupcakes, some of that Shiroi Koibito, and whatever that is. He said, pointing to what looked to him like a slice of cake loaded with every kind of chocolate imaginable, and sprinkled with powdered sugar. The woman dipped her head. "Of course! That will be about five thousand." Killua dug a hand into his pocket, pulling out his coin purse and dumping the correct amount of Jenny into his hand. "Here."
The woman stared at the money in his hand for a moment with a quizzical expression. Killua blinked, frowning slightly. "Is...something wrong?" The woman smiled awkwardly at him. "Um... my apologies, but we only take Yen here." Killua let out a groan, he should've known the currency system was different. "Shit, this is the only cash I have on me." He pocketed the money again with a sigh. "Sorry, I forgot that I'd need Yen." He turned to walk away, when the woman spoke up. "You can have it on the house! Since you're a student participating in the games, and all."
Killua licked his lips, turning back to the stall. "Oh, thanks." He eagerly took the sweets from her, scouting for a table to sit at. He found an open spot close by and quickly took a seat, spreading his sweets out on the table in front of him. He ended up sitting nearby some of the hero course students. The frog girl, the guy with the engines on his legs, and the one who could make things float. He didn't know their names though. "That's all you're eating, Kero?" Killua was in the middle of taking a bite out of one of those heavenly Koibito cookies when she spoke. Kilua glanced sideways, realizing all three of them were staring at him. "Yeah? And?" He shot back, eyeing his cupcake. "Chocolate was the best flavor to bless mankind. It's like heaven in your mouth." Killua took a large bite out of his cupcake, salivating at the heavenly taste. "Mm, so fucking good."
He proceeded to stuff his face with chocolatey goodness, not giving a damn about how anyone viewed him because of it. Nothing would make him ashamed of his chocolate. "That is incredibly unhealthy! Shouldn't you eat something filling to get your strength up?" The only other male at the table lectured. Killua licked some chocolate syrup off the corner of his mouth with his tongue with a scoff. "I eat a hearty breakfast." He retorted, digging into his slice of cake. "Nevermind that, where did you even come from?" The one sitting directly next to him asked, with a frown. "You're not from the hero course, but there's no way you could've failed the entrance exam."
Killua had a split second to think up a cover story, and he went with the only thing that logically made sense. "I can't...read." There was a stunned silence, all 3 of them just staring blankly at him. Killua huffed, scowling slightly. "Where I'm from we have a different writing system. The lines are more simplified and stuff." That answer seemed to satisfy them, because they didn't ask him any more questions for the rest of lunch. Although some short toddler looking guy came up to the girls to tell them something important. Not long after, Killua went back on the field. There were side games apparently. Although he wasn't sure if he'd participate.
However as he emerged onto the field, he noticed that all the girls in class 1-A were....dressed as cheerleaders? And looked very miserable as well. What in the hell? "YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THIS MINETA!" One of them shouted. Killua glanced sideways, this 'mineta' was apparently the small grape looking guy who he'd seen talking to the girls earlier. Ugh, he's one of those weirdo pervs isn't he. Several years ago, Killua wouldn't have given a damn. But after traveling with Alluka for a few years, he'd come to detest pervs like that. Killua leveled a glare at the back of the little shit's head, causing him to freeze and slowly turn in his direction. Looking as if the soul had been sucked out of his body.
Killua grinned with a glint in his eyes, snatching him and holding him in the air by the back of his shirt. 'WAIT I'M SORRY-" He wailed, struggling like a bug caught in a flytrap. "I will punt you across this stadium like a football if you pull another stunt like that again."
