Killua had two days to settle into a proper living situation and design his hero costume. The latter was extremely easy. There were no limits on how simplistic he could make it. Killua thought the flashy over the top costumes were absurd, so would keep it simple. The first thing he knew he needed to focus on was getting a house. Or at the very least an apartment or hotel. It was particularly hard because people kept stopping him on the street to talk to him. It felt nice the first five or so times, but then it just gradually became more and more annoying. Especially when it was kids around his age. He could barely focus on finding an apartment to live in.
"Is that Killua?"
"Can I have an autograph!?"
"Oh my god he's so handsome-."
Killua chuckled awkwardly as he was surrounded by a group of kids his age, some a few years younger than him. If only I wasn't in hero course training. He grumbled internally, starting to get a little pissed off. "Thanks, I guess. But I have to get going-" One of the girls grabbed his arm with shining eyes. "Please can I take a picture with you?" He fought the urge to roll his eyes, letting out a sigh. "Fine, I guess." He stayed still for a few moments, just long enough for the excited fan to take a photo. Afterwards he started walking away again, shoving his hands in his pockets with a huff. He glanced behind him one time, and to his irritation two of them continued to follow him. Are you fucking kidding me? Just go away already!
Killua ended up ducking into an alleyway for some peace and quiet, grumbling as he leaned against the wall. The two girls didn't follow him in there thankfully. Damn, I mean it's better than being feared but still. Killua heard a soft rustle from above him, and his eyes shot in the direction of the noise. There was a man crouching on the edge of the rooftop almost directly above him. From his casual stance, Killua knew he wasn't a threat. I swear I've seen him before somewhere. Looks like one of the heroes. "Oh hey, you're that newbie who stole the show yesterday aren't you?" Killua shrugged. "Guess you could say that." The man shifted a little, and that was when he noticed the large red wings perched on his back. Wait, that's Hawks isn't it. Killua realized. He'd done some research on heroes earlier that day. "So, what're you doing hiding in an alleyway?"
Killua huffed, taking a bite of the chocolate bar he'd stashed in his pocket. "Needed a break. Being famous is annoying sometimes." Hawks scoffed, leaning forward a little with a chuckle. "You didn't seem to have a problem with attention yesterday." Killua groaned. "Yeah yeah, just not when I'm trying to find living accommodations. I have two days to find somewhere to live. I don't have any money, and I can't fucking read kanji." Hawks hummed. 'I mean I guess you could crash at my agency, under one condition." Killua blinked, glancing up at him in surprise. "Eh?" Hawks leapt off the wall, landing neatly beside Killua with the aid of his wings. "Intern with me. That's the condition."
Hawks seemed to see the confusion on his face because he began to explain. "After the sports festival, the hero course students get offered on by pro agencies to have a chance to spend a week with them in the field. Usually first years don't get that, but since you put on such a show I bet you will." He explained, with a grin. "I'm sure you'll get tons of offers. But if you choose mine, we have a spare room at my agency you can stay in. The commute to school might be a pain though."
Killua thought about that offer for a moment. I mean, I don't see a problem with it. Killua shot him a grin back. "Sure, I can travel pretty fast so I don't think I'll have any issues getting to school on time." The pro flexed his wings, looking Killu up and down. "We might have to use public transport to get there though, I'd offer to fly you but..." He trailed off, a teasing look on his face. Killua laughed. "I can keep up with you, you watched the sports festival didn't you?" He shot back. "Let's see about that." Hawks replied, taking to the air with a beat of his wings. Killua hauled himself on top of the nearest building with ease. Hawks was fast, but not nearly fast enough to outpace him.
Killua leapt from building to building, like a shadow trailing behind the flying pro. He kept his eyes on the man he was following, putting full focus into where he was putting his feet. They were indeed a pretty long way from U.A, but at his top speed he didn't think it would be much of an issue. Eventually they arrived at the agency. A large building with a strangely sloped roof, and some satellite dishes on top. Hawks flew inside an opening high on the building, leaving Killua on the ground. He's probably expecting me to go through the door. Killua snickered, then quietly started scaling the building. Using his Nen to stick his hands and feet to the wall.
Killua poked his head into the same window Hawks had gone through. It was a large spacious room with a couch, and some small decorating items strewn about. Hawks was talking to some guy who Killua assumed was a sidekick. "-make sure to keep the door open for him alright?" Killua silently slid inside of the room, masking his presence completely for the time being. Before the sidekick could walk away, Killua yawned loudly, causing Hawks to whip his head around with a startled expression. "Yeah that won't be necessary." Hawks recovered from his momentary shock with a huff. "Damn kid, how'd you get up here so quickly?" Killua gestured to the window. "I followed you." He said, with a catlike smirk.
"So, where's this room?"
