ISABEL POV
I almost scream, Scarlet is lying on the floor, knocked out by something, or someone why didn't my father sense it. I feel someone grab my wrist and being pulled back.
"Isabel, stay behind me"
I hear my fathers voice and his words replay in my mind again and again, I guess my father has that effect on people I look over to try and get a better look of Scarlets almost lifeless body but I'm cut off again.
"Isabel! Force field"
Without a other word purple flashes the moment I rose my hands, its done, the half sphere of purple covers us and gives us the hint of light we needed, Scarlet was hit in the back of the head, and it looked to be bleeding, god no no no. Daniel quickly walks over lifts her head up to get a view on how bad it is, and his face is telling us anything but good, he turns back to my father and the commander, the commander gives him a nod to speak.
"She was hit at the back of the head and it's bleeding-"
"Tell us something we don't know Anderson"
My fathers words are like a knife. A dagger. But I need to keep my focus.
"But it must be just from the fall, she was probably stunned-"
All our eyes all onto the rock that's out of place, god sake I hear a few mutter.
"Well isn't that just great we have a man-"
my father is quieted by the Commanders glare.
"We have a woman down and we've not even got to the actual fighting"
I sigh along side them, but my eyes stay on Scarlet so broken yet peaceful, like sleep, no matter how she gets it is a gift from god himself, I'm not sure if that worries me or makes me smile.
"Does anyone know Scarlets blood type"
The medics voice cuts in, my father should know this but we all including my father nod no.
"Dad! She's your deputy, you should know this, it shouldn't be question!"
My voice is louder then I'd like it to be and I catch Daniels nod, and he agrees. This is bullshit.
DANIELS POV
I'm now holding the almost lifeless Deputy Captain in my arms, I never thought this would be how my first mission played out, but it did, the bleeding coming from her head isn't too bad, nothing that could cause permanent damage and I feel I could use my healing powers to help her but I'm not sure, I might need to save that. Also at this time I'm pissed, this is their Deputy Captain, their right hand man well woman and they don't know something as simple as her blood type?.
"Are you telling me that none of you know what her type is?"
They all nod no again.
"Du machst Witze"
I mutter as my eyes fall back to Scarlet, brushing a bit of her almost blood coloured hair out of her face her skin is pale, a little more then it should be my hand moves to her wrist, checking her pulse, I feel it, my two fingers placed to her wrist, the beats of her pulse, like a rhythm, I look at them all again.
"She's stable at least"
I sigh and stand up she's still in my arms and surprised by my own strength her arms lay lifeless hanging below, Luke eyes me then speaks.
"Can't you just heal her, Anderson"
I almost scoff I would, I would do it in a heartbeat but I'm still not sure if I'd regret it, what if we need it for later that voice says in my head and my grip goes tighter.
"No I can't, it would take up too much of my energy you Blasrohr Gesicht"
He looks at me both shocked and confused.
"What are you saying-"
"None of your damn business"
I snap, why I'm so angry? Why do I care as much as I do? Doesn't matter, a bit of the blood is bleeding onto my shirt, why the hell did I make the choice to wear a white shirt on a mission is beyond me at this very moment. I came here with no armour too, how the hell have I not been scolded let? Would a parent do that? Or would they not let it happen in the first place. My eyes fall to Isabel, she looks as through her shield might break, and we will lose the little light we have, and then we might all fall down like domino's we are sitting ducks, we're dead men and women walking.
LUKES POV
"Over there!"
I yell my eyes now falling on the danger, a soldier with a very different uniform then our own the colours are less bright compared to ours which makes sense, in these uniforms we're stars in endless night without another word I grab my dagger but someone gets to it before me, and it isn't my dagger. Daniel Anderson just threw a dagger straight into the man's shoulder, locking him in place as the blood started to pool.
"Holy hell, Daniel!"
I yell surprised shocked and a little proud, weirdly Daniel looks just as if not more shocked then myself I also notice he threw it from his left hand, he's left handed, not the most shocking thing at this moment I stare at him my eyes wide like they might pop out then my eyes fall to Scarlet, the blood is almost the same colour as her hair, hard to see it unless you look closely I'm running over and staring at the man, anger and happiness as I pull out the dagger I notice just how delicate of a weapon it truly is, its unique like one of a kind now covered in blood and I hold it to the soldiers throat as a notice the lifeless in his eyes blank unfeeling.
"What the hell have they done to them?" Daniel now lays Scarlet down as Isabel stands over her, Daniel now sees what I see and his shaking a little.
"I....I have no idea, I've never seen this. Not even in Ulfstead"
"Not even Lydia had this kind of control."
Lydia.
DANIELS POV
I'm now in a state of aghast, more than beforehand. I mean, I knew I used to play baseball on the girls team sadly. But still, I never knew a ball and a dagger had the same weight, well hers looks like a military style which makes sense for the most part but I need to focus, I move Luke out the way a little and grab the soldiers chin. Blank. That's all I see when I looked at him, he looks fairly young probably mid twenties, blonde hair and brown eyes but like this, with his puplis dilated to much to be healthy they look almost black I try the usual moving his head from side to side then slapping his cheek a little.
"I'm getting nothin'!"
I don't shout it but I make my voice loud enough to both understand and hear, I release his chin from my grip and stand up from my knee, and my eyes fall to Scarlet: we need someone like her in battle, we need her smarts, she's a born strategist, from what I've heard, but at the same time healing her comes with risks, but I think the pros out way the cons of doing so.
"Isabel, please move out the way"
She does as I ask and I give her a small smile as I walk forward lifting Scarlet back into my arms and onto my lap she looks weirdly peaceful makes me almost feel bad, I shut my eyes feel my power running through me and life force leaving my body only after two minutes I've finished and after other two minutes and she rises up.
"Welcome back, deputy."
I say and smile she looks at me like she's looking at a Prince charming, she's still muddleheaded she blinks a few times before sitting up and rubbing her head with her left hand, she must be left handed like myself, than why does she use a dagger made for right handed people?
I brush off the questions as she groans softly.
"Aw, you're kidding me,"
I surpress a smrik as she looks at her hand bloodied a little.
"This is going to talk forever to wash out"
