Salvatore mansion
At the Salvatore mansion, tension crackled in the air as Tyler lay on the couch, his face contorted with pain. Stefan worked meticulously, extracting the bullets from Tyler's wounds, while Caroline and Isabella hovered nearby, their worry palpable.
"Please tell me that's the last one," Caroline pleaded, her voice quivering with fear.
"These aren't ordinary bullets," Stefan said, gripping one with tongs. "These are specially carved. If you were a normal vampire, you'd be dead already."
Tyler grimaced in pain as he spoke, "This guy knew exactly what he was doing. His gloves must have been soaked in vervain. He was hunting vampires and didn't hesitate when he found one."
As Stefan examined the bullet, a grimace of pain crossed his features. "These etchings..." he started, his voice trailing off.
"Are the bullets spelled?" Caroline's voice trembled with mounting anxiety.
"I don't know," Stefan admitted, his voice tight with tension.
"Let me see them," Isabella said, her tone firm.
She took the wooden bullet from Stefan with the tongs, her gaze intense as she examined it closely. As she inspected the markings, her eyes widened with realization. "It has the hunter's mark," she said, her voice steady but filled with a cold certainty. "We're not safe here."

Funeral place
"Damon, hurry!" Elena's voice crackled urgently through the phone, her fear barely masked.
"We're here. Where are you?" Damon replied, his voice taut with worry.
"In the basement bathroom," Elena's voice trembled as she tried to scrub blood from the bathroom floor. The sudden knock at the door made her jump.
"Is that you at the door?" Elena asked, her anxiety evident in her voice.
"Not yet," Damon responded, his tone urgent. "We're on our way. Don't open the door, Elena."
"I'm sorry, there's someone in here," Elena's voice quivered as she added, "Damon, hurry!" The call ended abruptly, leaving a chilling silence.
Damon and Isabella rushed down the stairs, their expressions tense. They entered the basement to find a man [Connor Jordan, from now on we are going to call him CJ—the new vampire hunter] seated calmly, an unsettling calmness in his demeanour.
