Piya's POV

It's 12 at midnight and someone is knocking my room... I immediately turn on all the lights of my room. I never turn off all the lights of my room as I am afraid of darkness so the lamp beside my bed is always on. "
'Anyways who is knocking my room?' I was scared but then I took my phone to call my dad but then after seeing date I understand that today is my birthday! So it's definitely my family who has come to wish me as it's ritual from past 22 years!

I get up from bed and run towards the door. I asked "who's this?" "It's me" I heard a familiar voice it's none other than my mummy. I opened the door and saw my mummy , papa, And of course my little brother! With cake!! 'I'm so lucky to have such cute family'

We celebrate my birthday. It was a little celebration but happiest one.

Morning...

My phone rings. I answer the call who's name on screen was 'jaan'. As soon as I say hello, another person on call "wish you a happiest birthday my sweetheart" I replied, "thankyou so much Jaan" then "so what's plan for today?" "Papa has arranged a party today let's come home today" "ofcourse sweetheart it's my only bestfriend's birthday how could I say that I'm not coming I love my life you know"janhvi (my best friend) said "yaa Jaan if you came late then I will just kill you " I replied then we both laughed. Suddenly I heard that mummy is calling me for breakfast.

At dinning table

Mom asked,"are you excited for your birthday party" "yes ofcourse" I answered"but where is my gifts? you guys still don't give it to me" "patience is important in life" mom replied "it's most beautiful gift of your life. It will change your life."

Change my life? What does she want to say? What does it means? Whatever Today is my birthday I couldn't be sad

Mom called me in her room. Before entering the room I was near the door. Unintentionally I heard some conversations between mummy papa. It was not conversation it was fight. Papa "what if she say no?" Mummy "I know my daughter she will never say no to me" wait what 'say no' why would say no to my mummy? I always listened to her words anyways I knock the door and enter the room . Papa leaves the room with anger.

Mom shows me a beautiful dress "look at this Piya" "wow!! It's so beautiful mummy thankyou so much I like your gift no I just love your gift " I said. Mummy replied, "it's not your gift cutie, your gift is waiting to meet you in party and you would love it also anyways wear this dress tonight "

Sometimes it's very difficult to understand mummy's words but I was happy to see that dress.
Now I'm getting ready for party...
My bestfriend janvhi my Jaan has came to get ready with me.

I wore that beautiful pink gown which mom gifted to me. It's just awesome and pink is my favourite colour. Jaan has made my hairstyle. I'm looking so good today!

I went to mummy Papa's room to show them my look but again I saw them fighting over something. I heard that conversation was about 'Shergill family'. Wait what Shergill family? I was shocked after listening this name.
I entered room and ask them about that. "Why are Shergill's coming, mom?" "Don't you have manners how to talk about your in law's" mummy replied. "What are you talking about mummy I don't get it" I was shocked after listening that. But as mummy answered my questions a maid has come and knocked the door "mam, guest has arrived" she said. And mom goes towards the garden of our house were the party has arranged.
I turn towards dad. "Dad, we are not taking to them from last 18 years. And now suddenly what's this?" "They are now among the top 5 business family in India we think that you will be happy in that house" dad replied. And he got a phone call so they also leave me with my thoughts

'Happy my foot. I hate that family. I amnot going to marry in that family.'

"What's happened " Jaan asked me while seeing me tensed. Mom dad wants to me marry in Shergill's house" I replied. "my god shergills! How lucky you are!" "Lucky my foot!"
I replied. "Wait Shergill's is the most famous family in India and you don't want them tell me one reason to reject them just one" she asked. "One I have list " tears goes down my eyes while saying it. "What's the real matter please tell me" janhvi said.
"I was 4 years old when my surbhi bua (Papa's sister) fell in love with gaurav shergill (Mr Vijay shergill's little brother). But that family didn't accept my bua and my family didn't accept gaurav uncle. In short both families were against the marriage. At last my bua and uncle leave their families and goes somewhere far away. As my dad is chief minister he suffers alot of Defamation and humiliation. We never talk Shergill's after that. But that shergill doesn't stop at this, they just they just.. they just killed my bua and uncle" I just cried aloud. And janhvi was just stopping me.
After wiping my tears "And why the hell they want me as their daughter in law? What if they do something horrible with me?"I said in cried tone.

After washing my face. We decided to attend party. We touch up our make up and went down
