The clear blue sky was like an ocean to gaze up above. The kingdom once again expresses its dwelling beauty during the daytime. It's great strong high walls to protect, carved with star shapes. The kingdom's wide glass  windows clear like a river. It's entrance gate made out of gold. All with an embrace from vines of roses growing in the walls and the bars of the golden gate.
Small hands of a young eight year old gripped onto the bars.

"Aha! Caught you!" His voice rings the Princess's ears. Alerted, Asha's body stiffens.
"E-Earendel?" Asha turns and sees him. His arms were crossed, staring at her dead pan. Unimpressed of her, how many attempts did she try to escape her home.
He taps his forearm with his finger as if warning her. The princess chuckles nervously she lets go of the gate that she attempted to climb. "It's not what it looks like." Her cheeks red as the roses from her embarrassment when she gets caught. "I-- was just counting how many roses are red -"
"Stop trying to fool me, Princess." Her overprective knight cutted her off. He tells her sternly: "You're doing it again."
Asha begins to sweat the way Earendel looks at her in a glint of annoyance in his light amber eyes, but they shine like golden drops themselves once they glanced at the sunlight. He tilted his head up in a disappointment to the little Princess. "You were supposed to be in your studies." He reminds her in a suspicious way despite he already caught her in the act. Princess Asha groans.
"Aw! Come on!" Asha stomped her shoe on the floor. "I've studied enough!---" Also folding her arms, she turns her head away. Earendel raised his brow in return when he noticed her hidden pout. He wants to know, but he already knows deep down.
He asks her in a concerned way. "Oh really?" The way Earendel looked at Asha like a detective catching a crime from a wanted criminal, than a guard serving his princess.
He made the Princess then fiddle with her fingers.
"Yes..." She tries to keep eye contact with her fellow guard, but her eyes then stare at her shoes. Earendel rolls his eyes, scoffing slightly. He knows her too well to keep doing this routine with Asha. And it annoyed him greatly.
"Return back. Back inside the palace. To the library. To your studies." Earendel then pointed the castle behind him with his thumb. Asha huffs, she finds him unbelievable like he didn't care about her poor feelings.
"Earendel, no fair!" She exclaimed, then she shook her head as she refused. "I want to visit Dahlia and try her new sweet pastries she made at her bakery." She says, not looking at him. Earendel hears the mention of the new pastries of the bakery Princess Asha mentioned. He quietly groaned to himself. He wasn't having it.
"And we can go later... After you do your studies."
Asha protests. "But Earendel!..."
"No, Princess." He declines, standing tall before her. "Besides every day, Dahlia's family delivers pastries every morning to the kingdom."
"But it's not the same seeing her!" Complaints, Asha.
"Princess..." Earendel's eyes narrowed in annoyance. Princess Asha glared away in disappointment, but her face brightened of an idea she had.
"Come on, how about you come with me? Who knows, maybe you'll like it there too." She beams Asha stepped closer to him, her braids flowing behind then going down to her shoulder. Earendel's cheeks reddened he stepped back back from her, the look in his eyes, saying silently: "Don't give me that look." He gripped onto his sleeves. "Come on, please?" Princess Asha places her palms together, her face then turning to a playful smirk through her soft pink lips. Earendel immediately turned his head away from her after his cheeks glow pinkish and were sparkling with golden stars through his freckles.  "I know how much you can't resist Dahlia's favorite lemon cookies." Earendel presses his lips together, keeping his eyes away from her. But he had been craving for something sweet for hours. Maybe going with the Princess would be a good idea. And the way the Princess looked at him, those eyes.
"No." He says sternly he resisted away. It was his job to stay in the kingdom at all times with the Princess.
"Earendel, please!" Asha begs more hardly she plans to get down on her knees for him, though it was supposed to be him, and him always to bow down before her.
"Oh, no, no!" He wiggles his finger at her. "I am not getting in trouble by your parents again!" Earendel turned his back on her. He is not risking to lose his head by King Magnifco, being extreamly over protective of his daughter. "Now come, or the consequences will eat us alive!" Earendel's long navy colored cape glided as he walked away from the Princess. Asha pouted, seeing her most loyalist guard she called was turning his back on her! How could he disobey her like this?
As Earendel left, he expected her to be behind him, following him so he could escort her back to the library.
But no step behind of the Princess's shoes were heard. Instead, it was a voice of her command. That makes his heart beat spike up.
"Earendel! I wish for you to take me to Dahlia's bakery!" Earendel, let's out a sharp gasp he stops on his tracks.
A shining yellow star sparked through his chest, then faded away. He clutched onto his uniform embroidered with a few  badges of his accomplishments he had done. Earendel slowly turned his head to the Princess.
"You..." His tone traced with a slight growl. Earendel's brows arched, and eyes narrowed with a glare. Asha giggles, a grin on her face she had succeeded by saying that one word. Earendel's face later softens once he admits defeat. He loosens his grip from his uniform. He can't ever turn back away from her anymore. Not when she said that command.
