"What problem?" Nya asked. "We totally kicked their butts!"
"Yes, but Kalmaar seems to have another ally," Pixal said, turning back to the screens. She clicked a few more buttons and an image of Kalmaar, the Mechanic, and...
"Pythor?!" Lloyd exclaimed. "How did he... what?!"
"But I thought he was good now!" Cole exclaimed, staring up at the image of Pythor. Pythor was still wearing his prison clothes, as if he had just broken out of jail.
"I'm guessing the Mechanic and Kalmaar broke Pythor out of jail this morning," Pixal informed them. "Right before you found out about Kalmaar escaping Merlopia."
"I don't even know where Pythor went off to after he helped us defeat Chen two years ago," Lloyd admitted. "He just... disappeared."
Nya thought for a moment. Pythor was clearly an expert at covering up his tracks. So they just had to wait for him to make new ones, and get the train off track.
"I have an idea!" Nya announced. "What if we lure Pythor here? Kalmaar is planning on taking over Ninjago City, but he also needs the power of the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu!"
"How do you know that?" Kai asked.
"Well, most villains so far have wanted to take over the weapons. So I'm guessing Kalmaar needs them to take over Ninjago!" Nya pointed out. Zane walked over to the control panel and typed in a sequence of digits, and a small pod emerged from the floor. Zane waited for the pod doors to slide open, revealing the Golden Weapons.
"So, we need to lure Pythor here. We will be in hiding while Pythor calls Kalmaar and the Mechanic. Then, we can ambush them!" Zane exclaimed, clapping his hands together.
"That's a good plan," Kai agreed.
"Which Kai could not come up with," Jay added, earning a withering glare from Kai. Jay laughed nervously. "Moving on!"
"Stop fooling around, guys!" Nya scolded. "There's another part to this plan. Kai, Cole, and Jay, you guys will hide out in the arcade. The Mechanic and Kalmaar aren't together right now, according to the footage. So, You three will follow the Mechanic and ambush him. Pythor will lead Kalmaar here, and the six of us will take care of the rest."
"I must say, that is quite clever, Nya!" Bentho complimented.
"Thanks, Bentho!" Nya said, flattered. Cole, Jay, and Kai exited the base and entered the courtyard. They summoned their elemental dragons, which took them to the arcade.
"Quiet," Cole warned. "We need to find a place to hide."
"Which will be difficult because you've gained weight! I told you not to eat so much cake!" Jay hissed. Cole opened his mouth to say something, but Kai slapped his hands over their mouths.
"Enough! Remember the plan..."
BACK TO NYA, LLOYD, AND ZANE
Nya hid behind the screen, while Zane hid inside a large mech. Wu, Pixal, and Bentho found hiding spots in other vehicles, and Lloyd hid inside the pod, which contained the Golden Weapons. Once Pythor and Kalmaar opened the pod, Lloyd would jump out and attack, which was the signal for everyone else.
"How much longer will this take?" Lloyd asked from the pod.
"Shut up, Lloyd!" Nya scolded. "Pythor and Kalmaar could arrive any moment."
"Actually, Nya, I don't think Kai, Jay, and Cole are that fast," Zane pointed out. "They are very lazy most of the time."
"I'm sure they're not that slow, Zane," Wu assured him. "Besides, we should have faith in one another. Let that be the lesson for today. Believe in each other."
"Okay, everyone shut up!" Nya hissed.
MEANWHILE...
"Ugh! Where is that squid?!" Jay exclaimed in frustration.
"We're not looking for the squid, Jay, we're looking for the Mechanic," Kai said. "We're going to the arcade."
"Oh! We should play some Prime Empire while we're at it!" Jay suggested excitedly. Cole smacked the back of his head as he and Kai took the lead. They were walking past Mystake's old tea shop now, and they were close to their destination.
"We're going to the abandoned arcade," Cole reminded him. "Use your brain, Motormouth. I'm sure you're not that dumb."
"I'm sure you're not that fat!" Jay shot back. "Kai even admitted that you have a football! I mean, come on, what happens to your body being a temple?!"
Kai snorted. Cole fumed as they entered the old arcade. It was as eerie and dark as it usually was, and there was no one in sight. As usual. The Mechanic clearly loved run down places.
The Mechanic jumped down from the top of the bookshelf suddenly, landing on top of Kai. Jay and Cole wrenched the Mechanic off of Kai and started attacking him. Cole threw punches, but the Mechanic blocked or dodged most of them. While Cole was distracting him, Jay snuck up behind the Mechanic and kicked him in the shin.
"Argh!" The Mechanic screamed, clutching his ankle. "Watch it, idiot!"
Cole grabbed the Mechanic and flung him into the hat room, where the Mechanic kept his many hats. Cole kept a strong grip on the Mechanic while Kai retrieved a thick rope. Cole tied him to the desk.
"Call Pythor," Kai ordered. The Mechanic gave him a nasty grin, which caused Kai to become impatient. "I SAID CALL
PYTHOR!""Alright, geez!"
Cole grabbed the Mechanic's cellphone and called Pythor's number. He held the phone to the Mechanic's ear. "Tell him to take Kalmaar to the Monastery of Spinjitzu," Kai ordered. "Or things won't end well."
"Alright, I will! Calm down, Hothead!"
Pythor finally picked up the call after several seconds of ringing. "Hello? Pythor? The Ninja are out of the monastery. They're looking for us in the city, so now is our chance."
There was a pause... and then....
"WHICH MONASTERY?! THE MONASTERY OF SPINJITZU, IMBECILE! TAKE KALMAAR TO THE MONASTERY OF SPINJITZU AND STEAL THE WEAPONS!"
Another pause...
"WHICH WEAPONS?! THE GOLDEN WEAPONS OF SPINJITZU! SERIOUSLY, PYTHOR, ARE YOU THAT STUPID?! WHERE ARE YOU?! YOU'RE IN THE GARDEN ENJOYING THE FLOWERS?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WHAT ABOUT KALMAAR?! PRISON? OKAY, GOOD. WAIT, WHAT?! HE'S WITH YOU?! BOTH OF YOU ARE IDIOTS! JUST GO TO THE MONASTERY. THE NINJA AREN'T THERE. GO! NOW! YES, NOW, WHEN ELSE?! GOOOOOO!"
Cole, Kai, and Jay winced at the Mechanic's yelling. Cole took the phone from the Mechanic and put it on the ground. He stepped on it and squirmed his foot, causing the phone to break into a million little pieces.
"Was that necessary?" The Mechanic asked, his voice raspy.
"Very."
