They walk to Rachel's house and open the door, sneaking towards the stairs, Rachel's dad spots them and says...
James: Oh. Your Home.
He walks the rest of the way down and speaks to his wife Rose...
James: Rose, Rachel's home and she brought a friend.
Rose was standing in the kitchen, holding a plate of cookies, and then She looked over and she sees Rachel and her friend Chloe coming through the door. She sets the plate of cookies on the counter and then walks over to them...
Rose: Hello Rachel, Hello Chloe~
Rachel's anxiety eases slightly as her mother's voice floats down from the kitchen. She and Chloe step down the final few stairs to join them...
Rachel: Hey, Mom. Uh... we were just heading up to my room to... catch up before bed. Y'know.

Chloe steps back and looks around the kitchen, admiring the cozy setting. The warm lights and the delicious scent of home cooking distract her momentarily from their situation's urgency. She glances at Rachel, wondering if they still have a chance to sneak out without being noticed. She subtly taps her foot to communicate to Rachel without drawing attention. If they can manage to discreetly gather their things, they might have a chance to slip out while everyone's preoccupied with dinner. Chloe's eyes dart around the room, silently asking Rachel if they can still make their escape...
Rachel nods in agreement, trying to keep her expression neutral in front of her parents...
Rachel: Okay, got it. I'll just head up to my room and grab a few things. Shouldn't take long. Chloe, you just hang out here with my parents and keep them distracted for a bit, sound good?
Chloe nods, a smile playing on her lips as she realizes their secret plan...
Chloe: Sounds good to me. I'll keep them distracted and make sure they don't come up to check on you. Just give me the signal when you're ready to make your move.
Rachel's heart skips a beat at the thought of confronting her dad about his indiscretion. She takes a deep breath, her voice determined...
