YashRaj pov:-

I'm feeling mentally numb, and my thoughts are fixated on what I was contemplating earlier today. Although I asked her to get ready, I have a foreboding sense that something is about to happen, leaving me with a heavy heart.

Pran jaye par memory na jaye......🫠

To soothe my mind, I retrieved the snowflake pendant from my office drawer and put it on. As I closed my eyes, a deluge of memories of him swept before me, like a cascade of images.

*Flashback*

"Isn't this beautiful? I'll keep it close to me." "You can take it, but be careful with it."

"I want two, one won't suffice to satiate my hunger."
"You can't have two at once, it'll ache within."

"Will you take care of it? Promise me."
"I treasure every gift, I'm good at it, aren't I?"

"This is mine alone, I will never share it with anyone.........."

I pushed aside all the thoughts running through my mind and focused on work.
Right then, my office phone rang.
My secretary reminded me, ''Sir, you have a meeting with Mr. Khushawat soon.''

I acknowledged and hung up. Weirdly, as soon as I picked up the phone, I got this random urge to check Instagram - I think I haven't opened it since my wedding.

I opened Instagram, and just as I had expected, my feed was flooded with updates about my wedding - photos, news, and so on. I clicked on my sister Trisha's story, and that's when I saw them - pictures of my wild kitten, an epitome of beauty, alongside my own.

Ooo Mera dil dhak dhak krne laga....💓💓

It felt like I was trying to shake off the memories of her all morning, but now they had come rushing back, hitting me like a ton of bricks. I was left stunned, my mind reeling.

"Fuck...'' was all I could manage to mutter, as my thoughts came rushing back, overwhelming me once again.

I shut down my phone and slipped it into my pocket, trying to disconnect from the deluge of memories and emotions that were flooding my mind. I couldn't afford to get lost in these thoughts, not now, not when I needed to focus on the present.

She was still trying to figure out what kind of party it was and what to wear.
''Trisha, help! What should I wear?''
''Um...red, blue, or black?' - I gave her three options, now pick one quickly!
But Trisha was just gazing at the dresses, lost in thought."

"'Seriously, make up your mind! What's taking you so long?' she asked, getting impatient.
''You'll rock all of these outfits, but honestly, I'm wondering which one Yash Bhai will like best?''

"The red dress was a elegant, simple silk gown featuring a backless design, showcasing a subtle yet sophisticated look.

The blue dress, on the other hand, was a bit more daring, with a revealing design that was both backless and off-the-shoulder, perfect for making a statement.

Meanwhile, the black dress was a stunning, glittery gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline and a slit, exuding glamour and sophistication."

"'Bhabi, you need to wear that black gown! Yash Bhai will be totally hooked!' Trisha said with a cheeky grin.

''I know I'll slay it, but seriously, your brother hasn't even given me a hint about the party vibe!'

"'Relax, Bhabhi! It's probably just some boring business thing, and trust me, you'll look amazing - just take a selfie and own it!' Trisha joked, before getting up to take a call."
