Yashraj pov:-Over the past few days, I haven't been able to go to the office, which has severely piled up my work. Even now, I'm busy reviewing files and signing documents.
After spending two days with Rakshita, I didn't realize for a moment why I had married her. We seemed like a perfect couple, and perhaps others thought so too, but I know the reality.
I had wrapped up all my office tasks by evening when Yug called me.
Earlier, I had taken possession of the mysterious box that a delivery boy had handed over to Rakshita in Poland. As I was preparing dinner, my eyes landed on the box, which was tucked away in a corner of the kitchen stand.
I decided to hold onto it and later handed it over to Yug, so he could investigate and determine the origins and purpose of the package.
"'What did you dig up on the box?' I asked, my curiosity piqued.
"'It's a musical box,' Yug revealed.
I rolled my eyes, underwhelmed. 'That much I knew. What else have you got?' I pushed, my irritation simmering just below the surface."
"'This box is specially designed,' Yug said.
'I see,' I replied, intrigued. 'How so?'"'Well, if someone opens this musical box, it will only play a specific message once,' Yug explained. 'No matter how many times you open it afterwards, the sound won't play again.'
"Such boxes are extremely rare," he continued. "Now, we just need to figure out one thing..." He paused, leaving me curious.
I ended the call with Yug, but my mind was still racing. Rakshita's bizarre behavior lingered, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that she was hypnotized that day. But what triggered it? The unknown voice still haunted me.
Frustrated, I tried calling Rakshita repeatedly – 20 times in 15 minutes – but she ignored my calls and messages. My anger escalated.
Exasperated, I called home, and Mom picked up. 'Rakshita went to visit her parents,' she said, her tone reassuring.
Yet, my unease deepened. Something wasn't right. Rakshita's silence was deafening, and I couldn't shake off the feeling that she was hiding something.
This was beyond tolerable. Who did she inform before leaving? Did she think it was unnecessary to even notify me? The possibility that she might be with the same person from Poland sent my mind racing.
Infuriated, I loosened my tie and rolled up my sleeves, ready to storm out of the office. Just then, my secretary, Ajay Shrivastava, appeared.
"Sir, you have a pending meeting," Ajay ventured cautiously, his voice laced with trepidation. He eyed me warily, sensing the simmering anger etched on my face, akin to provoking a wounded lion.
"Reschedule whatever meeting it is for tomorrow's calendar and brief me later," I commanded in a deep, icy tone.
Ajay nodded swiftly, wisely choosing not to test my patience further. With a curt nod, I turned and strode away, leaving him to wonder about the storm brewing within me."
I got into my black Audi and set off towards Rakshita's maternal home, typically a 30-minute drive. However, due to the relentless traffic, it took an hour, and darkness had fallen.
I hastily exited the car and made my way towards the main gate of her family's residence. As I approached, I caught the faint sound of Rakshita's giggles, which only fueled my growing ire.
With each step forward, the soft, melodious laughter grew louder, piercing through the night air. My anger intensified, fueled by the suspicion of what might be unfolding within.
