Rakshita pov:-"Blackness engulfed me, a suffocating shroud that consumed every inch of my being.
I stumbled through the void, desperate for escape, but every door led only to more darkness. And then, I saw it - a room that seemed to pulse with a malevolent life of its own.I approached with trepidation, my heart racing in my chest. The door creaked open, a dreadful screech that echoed through my very soul.
Inside, the room was a shrine to darkness - every surface, every object, every shred of fabric was black as coal.A voice whispered through the shadows, a soft, raspy breath that sent shivers down my spine.
A girl emerged from the washroom, her face a death's mask - blank, empty, devoid of humanity. Her eyes were voids, black holes that sucked in the light around her. She wore a black dress that seemed to writhe on her body like a living thing, and her presence was a cold, dark wind that froze my blood.
I tried to scream, to beg for mercy, but my voice was trapped in my throat. The girl's gaze fixed on the TV, where a man was murdering his victim with brutal efficiency.
I felt a sense of déjà vu, as if I'd seen this horror before. The girl's voice was a rusty gate, a dreadful whisper that seemed to come from beyond the grave. 'Kill him,' she hissed, her blank face twisted into a grotesque grimace.
And as she spoke, the man on TV ended his victim's life, and the girl turned to me, her void eyes burning with an otherworldly hunger. She began to walk towards me, her hand outstretched, and I knew I was doomed..."
(From author - remember this dream because it links to next upcoming parts.)
I bolted upright, my hair a tangled mess, my body slick with sweat. My hands shook like leaves, and my eyes refused to stay open, for every time I closed them, the girl's face leered at me, her blank expression seared into my mind.
But one thing I couldn't comprehend - if she had no mouth, how did she utter those chilling words? Or was it just my imagination playing a cruel trick on me.
No ! No ! No
This is only dream
Only fucking dreamThe familiarity of it all sent shivers coursing through my veins. It had happened before, years ago, or maybe it was just a symptom of my illness resurfacing, like a ghost from my past.
I stumbled to the washroom, splashing water on my face to calm my racing thoughts, but my mind kept drifting back to the party, to the moment I accidentally spilled a drink on that boy, and now, Chitransh had shown me his real photo and it's none another than arvind shekhawat.
The ground beneath my feet seemed to tremble. I had seen him at the party, but he didn't seem like someone who would end up dead.
FUCKING no, I couldn't think like that again. So, I popped a headache pill and fell asleep, only to be plagued by this terrifying dream, this dark and twisted nightmare that refused to let me go.
As I descended to the hall, an unsettling silence enveloped me. I spotted my mother and approached her, inquiring, ''Where is everyone?''
She smiled and replied, ''Trisha and Nikhil are at college, Chitransh left for the office with Yash a while ago, Sanjay and Shikha have gone out, and Dada Dadi have visited the temple. So, it's just us two at home now."
Her words were laced with warmth, and the aroma of simmering peas wafted through the air, making my stomach growl with hunger.
I sat beside her, offering to help, but she gently declined, her eyes etched with concern. ''Don't exert yourself, beta. You don't look well. What's wrong?''
