The sun was setting, and the sky was painted with shades of orange and pink. The crowd was screaming, and I could hear my name being chanted from the bleachers.
I had a smirk on my face as I looked at the scoreboard.
We were winning by one point, and there were only five minutes left in the game. I was confident that we were going to win this game, but I knew that it wasn't going to be easy.
The other team was good, and they were going to fight until the end. I looked around the field, and my eyes landed on him.
Hyunjin Hwang.
He was the other team's star player, and he was one of the best players in our league. He was tall, lean, and he had a confident smirk on his face as he looked at me from across the field.I could see the fire in his eyes, and I knew that he wasn't going to go down without a fight. I smirked at him before turning my attention back to the game.
I dribbled the ball down the field, my heart pounding with adrenaline.The crowd's cheers grew louder with each step I took.I could feel the energy surging through me, pushing me to go faster, to be better.
Hyunjin was closing in on me, his eyes locked onto mine.I could see the determination etched on his face.
He wasn't going to let me pass easily.
"Felix, watch out!" Jisung shouted from the sidelines, his voice barely audible over the roar of the crowd.
I tightened my grip on the ball and prepared for Hyunjin's attack.He lunged at me, trying to intercept the ball.We clashed fiercely, our bodies colliding with a force that sent shockwaves through me.
Sweat dripped down my face as I fought to regain control. Hyunjin was relentless, his movements sharp and precise. But I wasn't going to back down.
With a swift move, I managed to outmaneuver him, spinning around and breaking free from his grasp.
I could hear Jisung cheering me on, his voice filled with excitement and encouragement."Go, Felix! You got this!"
I sprinted towards the goal, my eyes focused on the target.The goalkeeper was ready, his stance wide and prepared for my shot.I took a deep breath and kicked the ball with all my strength. Time seemed to slow down as the ball soared through the air. The crowd held its breath in anticipation.
And then, it happened.
The ball hit the back of the net with a satisfying thud.
The final whistle blew, signaling the end of the game. We had won.
A mix of triumph and exhaustion washed over me as I fell to my knees. The crowd erupted in celebration, their cheers echoing in my ears.
But amidst the chaos, I saw Hyunjin approaching me.
His eyes were intense, filled with an emotion I couldn't quite place. Before I could react, he grabbed me by the collar and pulled me close.
And then, without warning, he kissed me passionately.
I was stunned, my mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions.
But I didn't pull away.

Before I could gather my thoughts, Jisung ran over, grinning widely.
"You two finally stopped pretending!" he laughed, clapping me on the back. I shot him a glare but couldn't hide my smile. The stadium lights dimmed as the crowd began to disperse.
The noise of victory faded into the background, leaving just the two of us standing close.
The tension between us was palpable.
"We need to talk," Hyunjin said quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.
I nodded, my emotions a whirlwind of confusion and excitement. We walked off the field together, leaving behind the noise and chaos of victory.
The cool evening air hit my face as we stepped outside the stadium. The sky was now a deep shade of blue, dotted with stars.We walked in silence for a few moments, the only sound being our footsteps on the pavement.
Hyunjin finally broke the silence. "Felix, I... I've been wanting to do that for a long time."
I looked at him, his face illuminated by the soft glow of streetlights.
"I didn't know you felt that way," I admitted, my voice shaky.
He stopped walking and turned to face me. "I've always admired you, Felix. On and off the field."
His words hung in the air between us, heavy with meaning.
I took a deep breath. "I don't know what to say. This is all so sudden."
He reached out and took my hand, his grip firm yet gentle. "You don't have to say anything right now. Just... think about it."
We continued walking, our hands still intertwined.
The city around us was alive with activity—cars honking, people chatting as they passed by—but it felt like we were in our own little world.
We reached a small park and sat down on a bench beneath a large oak tree.
The leaves rustled softly in the breeze, creating a soothing backdrop to our conversation.
"Do you remember when we first met?" Hyunjin asked, breaking the silence once more
I nodded. "Yeah, it was at that summer camp three years ago. You were so competitive even back then."
He chuckled. "And you were always so calm and collected. It drove me crazy."
I smiled at the memory. "I guess we've always been opposites."
"Maybe that's why we work so well together," he said thoughtfully.
I looked at him, really looked at him for the first time since that kiss on the field. There was something different in his eyes—a vulnerability I hadn't noticed before.
"I think you're right," I said softly.
He squeezed my hand. "So where do we go from here?"
I took a moment to consider his question. "I don't know. But I'm willing to find out."
His face lit up with a smile that made my heart skip a beat.
"Then let's take it one step at a time," he suggested.
"One step at a time," I agreed.
We sat there for what felt like hours, talking about everything and nothing all at once.
The world around us seemed to fade away as we got lost in each other's company.
But eventually, reality intruded in the form of Jisung's voice calling out from across the park. "Hey lovebirds! Are you coming or what?"
We both laughed and stood up from the bench.
As we walked back towards the field and the rest of our team, I felt a sense of peace wash over me.
Whatever happened next, I knew we'd face it together.
