As I stood there, my heart raced uncontrollably.

His cold, metal gun pressed hard against my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

I couldn't scream, even though every fiber of my being wanted to. The terror of the situation left me paralyzed.

"Get in the car," he commanded, his voice cold and demanding.

I obeyed, stepping into the dark vehicle. Inside, the air felt heavy and suffocating.

I wanted to cry out for help, but no sound escaped my lips.

How could this be happening? How could he do this to me?

The car began to move, and the silence was broken only by the hum of the engine.

Suddenly, he removed his hand from my mouth. I whispered shakily, "Shaurya?"

Shaurya was our childhood friend. I had known him since before Avyansh left for a new school in fifth grade. Avyansh had always told me to stick close to Shaurya. We grew up together, shared secrets, and supported each other through school. But why was he doing this now? This didn't feel like a prank. The creepy messages he had sent recently flashed through my mind.

He smirked at me, and his next words sent a chill through my entire being.

"I love you babygirl."

His declaration was a knife in my heart, cutting through the fear with a new kind of dread. I was numb, unable to process what he had just said.

The car suddenly came to a stop, and my entire world felt like it was collapsing around me.

The car door flew open with a force that startled me. Shaurya's eyes burned with a madness I'd never seen before.

"Get out," he commanded, his voice harsh and unyielding.

I hesitated, my heart pounding in my chest as the cold grip of fear tightened around me.

"No," I managed to say, though my voice trembled.

His frustration was palpable as he reached inside, grabbing my wrist with a grip that felt like iron.

He yanked me toward him, but I resisted, trying to pull back.

Without a word, he took my hair in his fist. The sharp, sudden pain made me scream.

I winced, tears stinging my eyes as the agony surged through me.

I felt paralyzed, numb to the world around me.

How could this be happening? How could my once best friend, someone I'd trusted, do this to me?

I was dragged out of the car, each step feeling like a mile, and before I knew it, we were at the factory.

The sight inside sent chills down my spine. There, in the middle of the factory floor, was a wedding mandap.
