CHAPTER ONE

Stella Cobbins

Here I am sitting on my bed like a lazy orange cat scrolling on my phone as usual. I have been reading for like three hours now.

Still I forced myself off my bed and enter my nearby bathroom in my room, looking at myself in the mirror I see myself with slightly red eyes and small eye bags under my eyes. I unconsciously pushed my hair behind my ear like I always do.

But before trying to make myself look like a decent human being my stomach growled, and I'm fighting the urge to go in bed and continue reading but I let out a sigh.

Walking slowly down the stairs I see my mother in the kitchen doing gods know what. Upon sensing my presence though she looked in my direction with a smile.
I smile back ofcourse.

I know she's probably wondering why I'm in the kitchen looking like I haven't slept in weeks. But then I brush those thoughts away when she spoke up.

" Hunny are you well?, you look like you haven't slept and you know I don't like that" she said in her semi stern but worried tone.

" I'm fine mom plus I do get sleep" I said half lying. What? I do sleep but for four hours but I won't dare tell her that plus I don't like how she worries so much.

" I hope so but that aside I made your favorite breakfast" she said her beautiful smile returning. And I can't force myself as I smiled back so I gave her a side hug kissing her on her cheek before thanking her.

Sitting by the wooden stool in the kitchen infront of her marble counter, I ate silently, one for starters I have nothing to say, two if I start talking there's forty percent chance I'm getting lectured. Three because I'm itching to continue to read the book on my phone which I left upstairs which is a pain.

After eating my breakfast I got up and walked to the sink, washing my dishes as always. I left the kitchen and flew like flash to my room which I hope my mom doesn't notice.

Upon entering my room I'm hit with not only a messy room but the sunlight hitting me right in the eye and I closed them, I always forget the keep the damn curtains close.

I sighed deeply before entering my bathroom this time though I brush my teeth and took a shower and did my business. I changed into fresh clothes and had to force my lazy body to clean my messy room.

Today is a Saturday so I take fully advantage of it but then I remembered mom's rule and rolled my eyes, if I remember correctly but she always said on Saturdays I have to clean my room if I don't, she takes like five percent of my allowance.

And somehow that trick worked even now, but after cleaning my messy room I collapsed on my bed sighing wiping the sweat off my forehead, I tried to stretch my hand for my phone but before I could, my eyes give up on me and I fell fast asleep..
