Hey there, YJ Fans and Followers - coming at you after almost 10 YEARS with a milestone announcement - Young Justice: The Mimic Contingency has officially reached 100 THOUSAND READS! 😎🥳🎉🎉🎉

This book was not only my first story on Wattpad but my first 'book' I EVER tried writing, and made me want to take writing up seriously as a hobby. And now, here we are, almost 10 years after I published the final chapter (WHOA) and with a whole other list of fics and original books in the works 😉

I can't describe how thankful I am for every view, vote and comment on this story - my little YJ Fic that could and the book that started my Wattpad journey. 🥹❤️

...But that's not THE announcement I'm here for tonight. The real announcement?

I will be writing a NEW AND RE-WORKED VERSION OF THIS FIC! 😎😎🎉

Presenting, for your YJ Fanfiction-ing pleasure, THE MIMIC CONTINGENCY - KAI-SHIRO CUT!

But Kai-Shiro, I hear you say, why make such a big deal out of a rewrite of a 10yo story?
Well, because not only will this story be rewritten, it will also be EXPANDED 😎

That's right! This rewrite will see extra and cut scenes put BACK into the story! Have you ever wanted to see:

- How Desmond adjusted to hero life?
- His training sessions with each member of the Justice League went?
- Desmond getting along with the Team?
- Zatanna and Desmond getting closer to each other organically?
- An expanded look into the Mimic Contingency plan?
- An ending where the Mimic Contingency WAS REAL and NOT put on by Desmond and Batman? 😵‍💫

All these scenes and more will be added to the story, which will be updated soon, along with a few chapters of art of Desmond and the others 😊

And don't worry - the current version of the book WILL be kept and left as it is. The Kai-Shiro Cut will be made into its OWN seperate story and, once it's completed, swapped over with this story.

Both versions will be kept up, don't worry 😉👍

And speaking of books and stories, I have one final announcement - the SEQUEL BOOK.

Old time fans will remember that "The Mimic Contingency" had a sequel book, "The Titans Convergence". And while I did enjoy writing the book, I didn't plan it very well and a lot of it went off the rails and with fewer reads each chapter, so I deleted it.

BUT! I shall be putting up the book at some point AGAIN, though the story will be different and renamed "THE MIMIC CONVERGENCE".
So sorry to the Titans fans, but I will be removing the Teen Titans related plot lines for some other stuff.
Don't worry, favourite characters like Kaylanna and Delsin and others will be in the book, just with different plot lines and introductions 👍

The Mimic Convergence is still a ways off, since I want to finish the Mimic Contingency rewrite FIRST, for reasons you'll see when you read it.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

In addition to "THE MIMIC CONTINGENCY: Kai-Shiro Cut" and the potential "MIMIC CONVERGENCE" sequel, I have ANOTHER project currently in the works... 😗😗😗

In the early days of this book, a lot of you have asked me how Desmond would go if he was ever in the MARVEL universe. And while I was hesitant to put such a scenario out there...well...I'VE CHANGED MY MIND 😎😎😎

It's still early days but I am currently planning a story set in the Marvel Comics, where Desmond Snyder will instead be a MUTANT named Desmond Claremont.

I won't say anything more than that but WHOA, this book is gonna be WILD 😎😎🔥🔥🔥
