Gavin's Pov:

Gavin hopped on his motorcycle & he knew where Iz was. He helped her build the shed back a few years ago. But he didn't head straight there. He went to Walmart, got Iz some stuff & then sat outside because he knew Isla would want some time alone. He sat there for about an hour and by then Iz was gone for about 2 hours know. The drive to Walmart was a long drive because Iz lived in the middle of nowhere. It was about a 40 minute drive to the city where all the stores were. Gavin decided he was gonna give Ace a call, but before he did, Ace ended up calling him.

"Hey dude, I was just about to call you", Gavin said. Ace replied "Oh, thats funny. Okay, but where are you. After the nurse put staples in my head, I headed to your house but only Trevor was there." Trevor was Gavins German Shepherd. Trevor was in training to be a K-9. (Yes I know you have to be an officer for at least four years before you can work on the K-9 unit and Gavin was only there for almost a year, but just pretend that he can do that already) "Uhm, you can't be mad, but Iz ran off because I saw she had cut again an-" Gavin got cut off by Ace "WHAT THE FUCK, SHE PROMISED US SHE STOPPED!" "I know, I know. I kinda went off on her and she ran. Obviously I couldn't catch up and I knew she would want to be alone. So I went to Walmart and got her some presents. But we both know she went to-" "The shed," they said at the same time. "Shit, okay. Can you go get her cuz I'm really dizzy and need to lay down. I'm going inside your house to lay down. Before you say anything, I know I can't go to sleep yet." Ace said. "Okay, also, you just walked into my house without asking." Gavin said that in a joking matter but he knew Ace felt bad.

Ace was about to say something but Gavin said "No, it's fine. I gave you and Iz a key for a reason." "Okay, but I'm still sorry. Plus Trevor heard me knock went crazy. But he heard my voice and calmed down. He's getting really good. Considering he's only 6 months."Ace had said. Ace & Gavin talked for about an hour while he was driving to go get Isla. Before he got there he had told Ace he was almost there and has to go. Gavin was about a block away and had to stop because even his motorcycle couldn't drive on that terrain. He got to the shed and saw Iz asleep. She was having a nightmare and was crying in her sleep. "Shit" Gavin whispered to himself. Isla had always had nightmares.

When Isla was 14 she had gotten raped by her boyfriend at the time. Her boyfriend, Gabe, he had assaulted and raped her many times after. Isla always had nightmares about those times & nightmares about her dad. Like I said before, Daniel wasn't her real dad. Her real dad got murdered in front of her when she was just 6. Her mum and dad had been divorced since she wasn't even a year, despite that, Iz had a great relationship with her father & so did her mum. Isla was always so happy with her dad. She saw him only on the weekends as she lived with her mum weekdays. Iz always looked forward to seeing her dad and so did Ace. The day of his death, Isla & Her dad went to the carnival. A guy had brought a gun to the fair & had gotten on the ride that Isla & Damien, her dad were on. Damien wasn't the targetz but he was right next to the target and had got shot along with 3 other people. Damien saw the gun in his pocket, unbuckled his belt and shielded people around him. He knew any second the killer was gonna grab the gun and shoot. When the gunman realized what he was doing and saw him shielding the target, he shot Damien so he could kill the target. Damien died a hero as everyone knew he had saved the people he shielded except the target.

Isla was having a nightmare that her dad was shot by her ex that raped her. Isla was yelling in her sleep and Gavin saw so he woke her up. Isla was half awake when she saw Gavin and wasn't expecting anyone to wake her up, so she thought it was still her dream and punched Gavin since she thought he was her ex, Gabe. Gavin was definitely not expecting that and he knew that Iz was strong, but he never knew she was that strong. Iz realized who she had actually punched and started having a panic attack over punching Gavin & because of the dream. She couldn't brea.the. She had coping skills, but was so out of the moment, her coping skills didn't even cross her mind. Gavin realized what was happening and he saw that he had a bloody nose. He definitely wasn't mad at Isla, but was very surprised. Isla thought he was mad by the look on his face and that of course made her freak out even more. She knew Gavin would never hurt her. E-V-E-R. But for some reason she was terrified he was gonna hurt her. Gavin saw that too because he could read her like a book.

He grabbed Isla into a hug because he knew that would calm her down. He couldn't care less that his nose was bleeding profusely. All he cares about was Isla & Isla only. See the thing was Isla & Gavin had liked each other for years now.
Everyone loved the idea of them together, even Daniel. Even though it's not happened yet, everyone always says how good they'd be together.

Ig this is turning into a romance book too. So bare with me pleaseeeee. Btw, I'm only 14 so this story sucks 😔. My dad is a librarian so I should be able to write this story. Anyways, this is still gonna be about how being a teenager in today's society. Anyways 1075 words for chapter 3.
