     There was a complete different reason why Manes & Ace came. You could tell Ace had been crying & Manes was sad. Isla & Gavin assumed it was because of everything that happened the night before. But they were wrong. So wrong. "Hey, guys. We need to talk. It's about Iz's and Ace's Mum & Dad." Manes said in a hurt voice. Ace was on the verge of tears already but when he said that, Ace couldn't hold it in any longer. "DAD WAS KILLED IN A JAIL FIGHT AND WHEN MUM FOUND OUT SHE COMMITTED", Ace yelled while sobbing. Isla had never seen Ace cry so hard except when their real father had past. Before Iz could even process what Ace said, he fell to the ground with his hands in his face. After the words actually hit Isla, she couldn't breathe. She was brought back to the day her biological father died. Every moment replayed in her mind. So fast, yet so slow. Isla started panicking and there was no air coming in or going out of her. Isla took one deep breath and passed out.

     Isla woke up in the hospital. Turns out she was out for 16 hours. It wasn't necessarily a coma, but it wasn't just her passing out. Once Iz woke up hooked up to all these machines connected to her, she screamed. She let out a blood curdling scream like she had got stabbed or something. 5 nurses and doctors along with Ace, Gavin, and Manes ran in. But soon after, Ace, Gavin & Manes were pushed out. They were confused why they could go in. After all, Ace was her brother, Manes was basically her father now, & Gavin, well, I guess her boyfriend. After Isla was calm they could come in one at a time. Obviously Manes came in first. After talking, Ace came in. He did offer for Gavin to go first, but he declined it because he's her brother after all. After Ace got done, Gavin walked in. Iz went completely red because she remembered what she did the did before with Gavin. "Oh shit" she mumbled to herself. Gavin came over and asked "Can I sit with you on the bed Iz", in the most calming voice Iz had ever heard. She nodded yes, and he sat down. They talked for awhile & after, Ace & Manes were let back in. Soon after the doctor came in. "Mr. Kamdon Manes, can we talk please", He said yes, but really didn't want to leave her. After awhile Kamdon came back in and he looked stressed. He went over to Iz and asked her a question. "Iz, I know your parents just passed, but since you're legally a minor, they want me to adopt you and your brother. Is that okay?" Is didn't even think about and said yes right away. Kamdon had a wife that adored Iz and Ace. They adored her as well. Mr. & Mrs. Manes were better parents then Ace and Isla's mum and stepdad were ever. No one can beat how good of a parent Damien was though.

     Adopting Isla & Ace didn't even take 2 days. Which was incredibly weird because Kamdon & his wife, Kaylin, had done this before but with another child. That process took many months. Isla got released from the hospital the day after the adoption was through. Ace had already taken his stuff and most of Isla's stuff over there, but there was some stuff Isla hated anyone touching. Those things were of her dad & stuff he gave her. Even though Ace wanted to bring a bear that had his and her dad's voice to Isla, he knew he couldn't. Isla would completely lose it if someone touched that stuff. Iz was fine at first with people touching it, but one time her stepdad took that bear and threw it in the fire because he was mad at the kids for crying because he had died.

      Isla had anger issues her whole life & she would attack people. When her  stepdad did that on the one year anniversary of Damiens death, Isla lost it. Really fucking lost it. She hurt Daniel horribly. She was only 7 at that time and put a grown man in the hospital. The police came to the call and that's when Ace & Iz  met Sergeant Manes. They had an unbreakable bond from the start. At that time, Isla & Ace lived in town. Of course it was a little town, but she at least had neighbors. Her neighbor was Gavin. They had met when Iz was only 2. Isla, Ace & Gavin became super close. When Gavin saw the police outside, he ran past his parents who tried to grab him, but missed terribly. Gavin ran on site and the police officers thought he was a grown man, and set off their K-9. At 10, Gavin had already gone through puberty, so he looked a lot older then he was. The dog ran after him, but Iz & Ace saw & yelled "HE'S JUST A KID, HE'S OUR FRIEND", which made the officer call off Buddy the dog.

     Gavin had reached Isla & Ace. He made sure they were okay. Isla was freaked out and crying because whenever she had those 'melt downs' Isla wasn't herself in those moments. Isla could not control herself because it was like "It wasn't me" as Isla said previously when Manes got to her. After Gavin talked and calmed them down, he gave Isla a kiss and said "It'll be okay Iz". That was the start of their crushes on each other and the nickname for Iz.
