Chapter Three

"I am glad that is over." whispered Yao with grief and pain as she leaned back against the couch in the base's living room and closed her eyes with her heart clenching in pain. Her parents' will had just been read off to her, she knew combined with both of their life insurance policies plus what they had left in their accounts and the proceeds from selling the apartment that if she were careful with not being an idiot and spending money on needless things? She would be okay, as long as she made sure to be smart about everything and saved up the money she was getting paid to be an E-Sports player as well. However, none it meant a damn fucking thing to her because she would gladly trade it all just to have them back with her.

"Here's some hot chamomile tea with some honey." offered Lao K with a soft tone as her eyes locked onto him and nearly grimaced at the raw pain and grief in her eyes. He sat the drink down on the table in front of her before he sat down next to her. He was stunned though as she shifted and moved laying down on the couch with laying her head on his thigh. His eyes softened as he could feel her trembling as she released a small sob and gripped his jean glad leg and moved, running his fingers through her hair. "We're all here for you Yao-Yao." he murmured softly to the female as she nodded.

"Xiexie." croaked out Yao with a hard swallow as she closed her eyes and gladly let her tears fall at his encouragement and just laid there, not even noticing she was getting drowsy and slowly fell asleep to the Jungler running his fingers through her hair. She made a noise of content though as she felt De Bing jump onto the couch before he curled up close to her face and nuzzled his furred face into her neck with purring, putting her to sleep successfully.

Lao K's eyes softened as he looked up and met the concerned eyes of their Captain as the man walked into the room and stood there eyeing their girl with worry. "When's the funeral?" he asked in a low tone as the man moved, retrieving a blanket and laying it over their Mid before he sat down in a chair.

"In a few days, my mother and Jinyang will be handling it. Thankfully our Lawyer is saying that there is enough evidence plus the Jury and Judge are sympathetic and said if Tong Yao does not wish to be at the trial? She does not have to be." nodded Sicheng with a tired sigh as the Jungler nodded back to him with a softened look as both looked down to the sleeping female.

"I think she needs to get out of the base though, she is looking a little too pale and some fresh air might do her good." commented Yue with a concerned look on his face as he walked up and nodded to them as he sat down on the carpet.

"I was going to head to the fish market to get another fish, tomorrow. I will take her with me when I go." nodded Sicheng with a determined look as he moved, pulling out his phone. He also bought some movie tickets in case she would be up to seeing a movie as well as both of the other males nodded to him.
