Chapter Nine
Yao swallowed hard as she looked at herself in the mirror in her room and frowned briefly as she was already missing her jeans and sweaters. Her hair was pulled back from her face into a pony-tail, noting she was going to need another haircut as her hair was now almost reaching a little bit past her shoulders, instead of sitting on top of them like usual. Eyeing her clothes, she once more sighed as she was wearing a pair of soft black slacks and a silk dark ice gray colored blouse with a pair of dark gray and black heels on her bed. Her JieJie had brought her over this outfit.
Because even though she did not have to go into the courtroom and was given the option of waiting in a chambers attached to the courtroom? It would still be respectful to actually like nice...and not a little girl. Closing her eyes, she fought back her tears and was damn glad she had won the battle in not wearing any damn make-up because she did not think it would hold up. Hearing a concern meow, she opened her eyes and turned to look at both her fur babies and walked over to them and crouched down scratching them both each behind the ear with a pained look.
"I'll be fine, boys. I have people that will make sure of that." she murmured softly to them both and her lips twitched as she received purrs from them.
"That you do and you always will, Princess."
Yao tilted her head and glanced behind her and found her boyfriend standing there with her door open as he was leaning against the door jam with his arms crossed over his chest. He was weaving a pair of black slacks himself with a black long sleeved dress shirt and his black jacket and had a feeling his nice shoes were already downstairs waiting for him. She swallowed hard though at her new nickname from the man...it would appear he caught onto the fact that she actually adored and loved it when he called that, because he has been calling her that. Though, she did feel brief amusement at the fact that it seemed he was also territorial and possessive of the nickname he had given. As he has slammed a pillow or two in Yue's face for teasingly calling her that and had made Pang drop in rank right be auditing for daring to try and call her that.
"Time to go?" she asked softly and sighed as he nodded but felt herself soften as he walked over to her and held his hand to help her to her feet. She closed her eyes in relief and warmth as once she was standing the man wrapped his arms around her tightly and held her close, letting her bury her face into his chest.
"You know, that you have nothing to prove to anyone and you do not have to go. We could stay here, order in and play duos or watch that drama show you and Lao K adore right now?" offered Sicheng in a gentle tone as he held her close as she leaned more of her weight against him.
