Chapter Eight
Yao frowned as she finished getting dressed for the day in a long sleeved dark orange top, a pair of black shorts with some black socks as well before she grabbed her phone as it went off. She nearly cursed though as she saw the appointment she had made for De Bing was today along with getting Xiao Congo a check up done as well. Biting her lip as she checked the weather and saw it was actually supposed to rain later today, she moved messaging her JieJie first.
DeBings&XiaoCongsMama: Hey JieJie, if you are not busy, is there any way I can get a ride to the Vet/Groomers? I kind of spaced on the appointment that I had made today for the boys.
AhMaosMama: Oh! I would Bei-Bei, you know I would but I have to help my grandmother with something today. I know! Ask your General Lu, I know if he is at the base that he will do so if you ask him!
DeBings&XiaoCongsMama: I don't want to be a bother, he has already done so much for me considering everything that has happened...I can walk just fine, so don't you dare, message him, JieJie!
She sighed as she ignored her best friend's incoming message as she knew the female would try and convince her otherwise and moved gathering both up in their carriers while also making sure that both had a blanket in their carriers as well for added warmth especially for her youngest as he was still a baby. Frowning as she glanced around the room closely, she nodded her head as she slipped her wallet and phone into her short's pockets before going to open her bedroom door and blinked with startlement as she locked her dark chocolate colored eyes with assessing somewhat amused looking whiskey amber brown ones and sighed.
"Jin-er messaged you didn't she? I told her not to." sighed Yao with a shake of her head as she fought back the urge to strangle her best friend as the man raised his eyebrow.
"I am glad she did, Shorty. Considering how far that Vet/Groomer place is and that you didn't plan to take a DiDi. I don't mind giving you a lift if I am at the base." scolded Sicheng softly as he fought the urge to rub his forehead as she ducked her head some. He moved at her action and gripped her chin with his left thumb and pointer finger and tilted her head back up, so he could look into her eyes. "You are not a burden and you are not bothering me, by coming to me asking for help, Shorty. Get that through your head." he reassured her as she sighed before pulling away from him and nodded her head at his words. "Besides, it's supposed to rain later on today and you don't need to get sick." he added as he moved past her to grab the carries.
"Xiexie (thank you)." spoke Yao softly as she stepped to the side letting him step out with both carries before she shut the door behind him. She smiled softly at him as he eyed her before his expression softened as he nodded back to her.
