Seokjin stepped inside his home, the familiar scent of cherry blossoms immediately filling his senses. It was a delicate, sweet fragrance, one that he could recognize anywhere - Jimin was near.

The Omega's heart swelled with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness as he moved further into the house, his gaze searching for the source of the scent. As he approached the curtain that separated the sleep and cooking area from the rest of the house, another scent reached him, one that was stronger and more commanding. It was a scent of pine and leather, rich and unmistakable. It was a scent that belonged his mother.

With a bright smile, he pushed aside the curtain, revealing the small, dimly lit room. His eyes immediately fell upon his mother, who was reclining on a simple cot, her back propped up against a pile of worn cushions. Jimin was seated beside her, carefully tending to her. The sight made his heart ache with a bittersweet pang.

But there was no sadness in her eyes as she looked up at him, only a fierce, unwavering strength. Her gaze softened as it landed on Jin, her lips curving into a small, yet genuine smile.

"Mother," Seokjin greeted, his voice trembling with emotion as he rushed forward, dropping to his knees beside her cot. He reached out, his hands shaking slightly as he took hers into his own, pressing a gentle kiss to her knuckles. The warmth of her skin was a comfort he had missed more than he realized, and for a moment, he simply closed his eyes, letting himself bask in the familiarity of her presence.

"Jinnie, my sweet boy," his mother replied, her voice a low, soothing rumble that spoke of strength and resilience. She reached out to cup his cheek with one hand, her thumb brushing over the soft skin in a tender caress. "It is good to see you home."

Seokjin looked up at her, tears threatening to spill over as he met her gaze. "I missed you so much, Mother," he said, his voice cracking with the weight of all the emotions he had kept bottled up inside. "I was so worried about you."

His mother's smile widened just a fraction, her grip on his hand tightening ever so slightly. "I am here now, my son. There is no need for worry," she replied, her tone firm yet gentle. "You have done well to return."

As Seokjin sat there, basking in his mother's comforting presence, he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. He turned his head slightly to see Jimin, who had been quietly watching the reunion unfold with a small, kind smile on his lips. The older Omega's eyes were warm, full of understanding and empathy.

"Jimin hyung," Seokjin greeted, his voice filled with affection as he reached out to clasp the other Omega's hand. "It's been too long."

Jimin nodded, his smile widening just a touch as he gave Seokjin's hand a gentle squeeze. "Welcome home, Seokjin-ah," he replied softly, his voice barely above a whisper, yet filled with a sincerity that touched Seokjin's heart. Jimin had always been a man of few words, but his kindness spoke volumes.

His gaze then drifted around the small room, taking in the familiar surroundings. It was the same as he remembered, yet different in a way that made his chest tighten with an inexplicable mix of emotions. The walls were still lined with the same worn tapestries, the floor covered in the same threadbare rugs. But there was an emptiness here, a void that could only be filled by one person.

"Where is Yoongi hyung?" Seokjin asked, his voice tinged with concern as he turned his attention back to Jimin. "I was hoping to see him as well."

Jimin's expression softened, a hint of sadness flickering in his eyes. "The King has kept him busy," he replied quietly, his tone measured and steady as always.
