It has been 3 to 4 days, and Ragini was still looking for a good house but wasn't able to find one. Today, Ahaan and Ragini had a meeting, and both of them were working on it. Ragini and Ahaan had a friendly bond with each other.

"Sir, what's the company name?" asked Ragini with happiness, as she had worked hard for this project.

"It's Mehashwari Group. We are collaborating with them." Ahaan said normally he didn't know the day he saw Ragini like that had a huge impact because of the Mehashwari family itself.

Ragini was in shock after hearing it. She didn't want to make any efforts in the project, but she was professional, and she always saw Ahaan as a mentor. She learned one thing from him: personal stuff and professional stuff are two different things and are meant to be kept aside. She decided to take on this project with full confidence.

In the evening, Ragini and Ahaan entered the Mehashwari office. Ragini took a deep breath as she was going to encounter them after that day, and she was a bit nervous. But looking at Ahaan gave her another level of confidence, though she didn't know why. The employees of the Mehashwari Group invited them. Beautiful Ragini and Ahaan were sitting in the cabin, waiting for them. After a few minutes, everyone came and was shocked to find Ragini in front of them, that too bold enough.

Laksh's POV

As I saw Ragini in the office meeting room, I was shocked. I never expected this from her. She was bold enough to present everything beautifully. For a moment, I was also lost in her; the fire she carried in her eyes was something different. If any other girl had been there, she would have been crying or contemplating suicide. But Ragini made herself more bold and confident. Seeing her like this, I realized one thing: I was running after the wrong person. At the meeting, everyone's eyes were fixed on her; even my family members were shocked to see her like this.

Laksh's POV ends.

"Hope you all liked our work," said Ahaan with a smile on his face.

"Yes, we loved it," said Laksh, shocking the rest, as they didn't want to do this because Ragini was present.

Laksh took DP aside and told him how good Ahaan was in business and how badly they needed to collaborate with him. Hearing this, DP agreed.

"Here are the contract papers," Sanskar said, offering the documents.

"Now I can spend time with Ragini. Because of this collaboration, we both will be working together, and it will benefit both of us," thought Laksh to himself, smirking.

Ahaan signed the papers with a smile. Laksh extended his hand to shake hands with Ahaan first.

"It will be a great time with you, Mr. Ahaan Malhotra," said Laksh with a fake smile.

"Same here," said Ahaan with a generous smile.

Laksh extended his hand to shake hands with Ragini, but she wasn't comfortable with it. Ahaan could clearly notice this from her reaction, so he initiated the handshake himself.

"Sorry, Mr. Maheshwari. My employee isn't comfortable shaking hands with you, and I wouldn't like to force her to do so. So please understand," said Ahaan, looking into Laksh's eyes, which were clearly showing disappointment. Meanwhile, Ragini was looking at Ahaan; after hearing this, she felt happy, and a smile came to her face.

The environment was tense, and everyone knew the reason for it. Ahaan could sense the tension, but the reason was not known to him, so he decided to keep his mouth shut and just go with the flow.

In the evening, Ragini and Ahaan returned home and went to their respective rooms to freshen up. It wasn't time for dinner, so they were all in their rooms. After a couple of minutes, someone knocked on Ahaan's room door. As Ahaan opened the door, he saw Ragini.

"Ragini, you! Come inside," said Ahaan with a bright smile.

"I need to ask you one thing," said Ragini, looking confused.

"Yes, please say," Ahaan replied, looking at her.

"Why are you always so happy?" asked Ragini, still confused.

"Life is short, and you need to find happiness every minute you can, so I love smiling. Now you tell me, why did you come here?" asked Ahaan.

"I came here to ask you about this file," said Ragini, showing it to him.

"Come, have a seat; we will discuss it there," said Ahaan, welcoming her inside his room.

As they both were going towards the couch, Ragini's leg slipped because of something, and she was about to fall, but Ahaan held her, causing both of them to land on the bed. Ahaan was at the bottom, and Ragini was on top of him. Both of them were looking into each other's eyes and were lost.

In the background, "Do Dil Mil Rahe Hai Magar Chupke Chupke" was playing.

They were still lost, looking deep into each other's eyes and trying to understand each other's pain.

While again in the background, a song played: "Kate Nahi Katte Din Ye Raat, Kehni Thi Tumse Jo Dil Ki Baat, Lo Aaj Kehta Hoon, I Love You."

Both of them came to their senses after hearing these songs. While trying to get up from Ahaan, Ragini again lost her balance and fell on Ahaan.

Again, a song played: "Meri Neend Jaise Pehli Baar Tooti Hai."

"What is this? How can the timing of the songs be so perfect, and who is playing this?" Ahaan said, irritated, as he was annoyed. Ragini got up from him, and the room was filled with an awkward silence between them.

Ahaan went out to look for the source of the songs while Ragini followed him. They both came to the hall and saw Vikram playing different songs.

"What are you doing, Dad?" asked Ahaan, confused as he looked at his dad.

"I was thinking of playing good songs in the evening so that we all would feel refreshed," said Vikram, clueless, while Ahaan and Ragini still had awkwardness between them and weren't looking at each other.

"You were playing good songs for refreshing or creating awkwardness," said Ahaan tauntingly.

"Did you say something Ahaan?" questioned Vikram.

"No, Dad, I didn't say anything," said Ahaan with a sarcastic smile.

So here is the new update. Hope you all liked the update and if you liked the update do vote and comment down your views regarding it. Thanks for giving your precious time to my story.

Hi everyone I want to inform you one thing in advance that updates in September can be delayed as I have exams in September. Hope you all understand. So i will try to update as much possible in this month itself.

Though I am sorry for writing this, it's really heartbreaking to know that it's 78 years of independence, but still many girls aren't safe in India. It is really heartbreaking to read about what happened to the doctor in Kolkata. I am also a medical student, and thinking deeply about it is distressing. I wasn't able to read about her condition. To be honest, ladies, you aren't safe, and you need to take the initiative to look after yourselves. No one is going to help you; you need to be physically strong. You need to help yourselves.
