Charli blinked a couple of times, the light was dull this morning, pouring in through the curtains when she heard an alarm go off.
She looked up and realised she had fallen asleep on Anni's chest. She still had her hand up Anni's shirt, and her leg was over Anni's hips.
Anni was stirring so Charli closed her eyes again, pretending to still be asleep, she felt Anni stretch out under her, she then slowly moved herself out from under Charli and pulled the covers back over her. Making sure she was kept warm.
Charli smiled to herself at the care Anni showed towards her. Landon had never done that, he'd always shoved her out of the way and never cared if she was still alseep when he got up.
Anni set about getting dressed, grabbing clothes, making sure she was as quiet as possible, shoving her stuff in her bag, then she retreated into the bathroom to dress.
Charli rolled over and checked her phone, several missed calls, messages galore, snap chats, DMs, she dismissed them all, just checking the time, 5:07am. Damn this girl is an early riser.
"Morning," Charli jumped as she heard Anni chuckling from the end of the bed, "sorry I didn't mean to wake you up, I tried to turn my alarm down as much as possible."
"Jesus, sorry, I thought you were still in the bathroom, you didn't wake me, I promise."
Anni nodded in the dusky light, she was pulling on her jeans as Charli took in her silhouette.
She was really tall and really slim, "how tall are you?" Charli suddenly asked, propping herself up on her elbow. She knew she was over 6' tall but not by how much, she dwarfed almost everyone around her.
"6'4 I think." Anni answered.
Charli stretched out her arms as she nodded. Charli liked partners who were taller than her, Landon stood at 5'11 which was just fine since she was only 5'5 but Anni was almost a foot taller than her, Charli's head only came up level with her chest.
"I gotta go to work, but you're welcome to stay here, or come with me?" Anni offered. She didn't know why she said it, but Charli lit up at the offer to come with her. The excitement in the girl's head was a lot at 5am.
"Really? Would Magnus mind?" she asked scrambling to the edge of the bed in front of Anni. She was on her knees looking up at her.
"Nah, he doesn't care, I'm stuck in the office anyway, so it would be nice to have some company," That was a weird thought for Anni, she would always rather be alone, having company was never something she craved until today.
Charli jumped up into Anni's arms excited and happy that she was going to get to see the rig in daylight hours. Anni caught her with ease and set her down on the floor. Anni had anticipated the jump, making sure to catch Charli, it left her with a smile on her face, as Charli let go of her neck Anni missed the contact a little bit.
"Go grab some clothes, if you need clean underwear it's in the bottom drawer, I'm just gonna pack my bag, I'll stick your charger in there." Anni was still smiling as Charli ran over to the dresser and grabbed the first thing she found and ran to the bathroom to get ready. Anni just shook her head, what in the world was happening to her, she didn't know if she wanted it to stop.
Charli returned wearing more of Anni's clothes, looking entirly too good in them, Anni stuck her hair up in a messy bun and grabbed her sunglasses from the table, "you good?"
Super vision was great but the need for decent sunglasses at all times was a real pain in the ass.
Charli nodded, and grabbed her phone off the bed, Anni threw the covers back over the bed on the way out, she opened the door for Charli as Magnus exited his room.
