" He claimed he's the one behind Baekhyun's death"

Jimin was too stunned to speak, he said, "Is there any way to save him?" The commissioner replied, "We can't completely save him, but we can reduce his charges." Jimin said, "Okay, I'll meet you with the prosecutor soon" and hung up.

Cheryl, with worried eyes, asked, "What happened, Jimin? We can save him,right?" He hugged her to console her a little and said, "Don't worry Cheryl ; everything will be fine.

They went to meet Jungkook at the police station. Jimin asked for him, and a cop informed them that he had been arrested for murder. Jimin was aware of Cheryl's impulsiveness so asked her beforehand to not mention anything about what happened in industry to avoid worsening the situation.

Jimin requested to let them visit Jungkook. The cop allowed Jimin but not Cheryl. She was shocked and asked why, to which the cop explained that Jungkook had requested no female visitors. It was clear to both of them that jungkook doesn't want Cheryl to visit him. Tears welled up in her eyes again, but she composed herself, telling Jimin, "It's okay, Jimin; you can go and meet him."

Jimin went to meet Jungkook, finding him behind the bars sitting against the wall. Seeing Jungkook's he felt as if someone is tearing apart his heart. Jimin kneeled in front of him, softly calling his name. Lost in thoughts, tears streamed down Jungkook's face. Upon hearing Jimin's voice, he turned and gave a faint smile.

Jimin asked, "Why aren't you letting Cheryl meet you even once?" Jungkook lowered his head and said, "I don't have the strength to face her. I can't do this, Jimin. What I did is unforgivable."

With concern and tears in his eyes, Jimin pleaded, "Then why are you doing this? You can stay away from her and wait for her to forgive you. Torturing yourself like this is not the solution to the problem, Jungkook."

Looking straight into Jimin's eyes, Jungkook confessed, "I have no other option, Jimin. I'm afraid that if I'll move a step, I'll start walking towards her. I'm afraid I'll beg on my knees for her forgiveness. I'm afraid she'll forgive me."

In frustration, Jimin said, "BUT WHYY? She's dying to meet you again outside. She's ready to forgive you, then why, Jungkook, why?"
Jungkook replied, "That's the problem, Jimin. I know she'll forgive me one day, but it's not right. I never treated her better. I never treated her as my wife, and on my birthday, I forgot to treat her even like a human. I've caused her a lot of pain and I can't bear it anymore. I can't bear to see her in pain again. Let me get separated from her. Let her be happy. I know she'll be happy without me."
Jimin countered, "It's not true, Jungkook. All she wants is to be with you. Please try to understand. I won't let you ruin your life"

Jungkook pleaded, "Please, Jimin, please. Let me do this. Try to understand, If I'm outside, I won't be able to stay away from her. I'm dying to hold her in my arms. I'm yearning to treat her the way I dreamed. I want to let her know she's the only reason for my existence, but I can't. I just can't sacrifice her happiness for it. Please, Jimin, do me a favor. Please, let her know that I've signed the divorce papers; they're still at our apartment. Please, tell her to proceed with it. Please, tell her to be happy. Please jimin... please..."

Tears were streaming down from both of their eyes. Jimin extended his hand to wipe his tears...He realised jungkook is not going to change his decision...He wiped his tears and was about to get up but jungkook held his hand and said "One more favour, I don't want her and you to visit me ever again"

Nodding at his sentence, jimin said in his mind "I won't let it happen"
