Roger closed his eyes as he laid his head back on the headrest of his gray sedan rental as he said, "Son of a bitch!" Lowering the microphone that he'd used in Chicago to listen to the conversations between Ethan Daniels and Jasmine Ellis while they'd been inside of their brownstone across the street from the one that he was renting, he shook his head as he ran a frustrated hand over his face and said, "Did you see and hear all of that Thomas?" Not sure why he'd even need to ask, because with his technological skills, Thomas had not only seen and heard everything that had just taken place in front of the giant carousel, but he'd also recorded it as well.

A heavy sigh filled his car, right before Thomas's voice filtered through the speakers as he said, "Yep, and Miss Moretti is going to go ballistic." Nodding his head in agreement, Roger said, "Yes. She will, and I am truly dreading having to inform her of the fact that Miss Ellis is now the fiancée of Mr. Daniels." Ending the call with Thomas, Roger lifted his long-range camera and snapped a multitude of photos of the happy couple. He'd already taken photos of Mr. Daniels proposing to Miss Ellis, and although a smile crossed his lips, as soon as it had appeared, it had just as quickly disappeared because he'd known that Miss Moretti would not be happy about the events taking place.

Checking the time, Roger saw that it was 12:03AM. Releasing a heavy sigh, he dropped his head and shook it as he lifted his phone and pulling up the number for Valentina Moretti, his finger hovered over the send button as he glanced over at the smiling couple as they shared their happy moment with their friends and family. Roger couldn't help the smile that crossed his face as he thought about the romantic and heartfelt way that Ethan Daniels had proposed to the woman that he loved. Because Mr. Daniels had known that Miss Ellis loved carousels, he'd enlisted the help of not only his family, but hers as well, and he'd arranged one of the most incredibly touching proposals that he'd ever seen.

After embedding himself into the life of Mr. Daniels over the past few years, to see him finally happy, and in love, pleased Roger. And although he knew his feelings were completely unethical, as well as unprofessional, he was happy for the young couple, nonetheless. Roger had been in love once himself, and after losing the love of his life, and their unborn child in a car accident, Roger had never allowed himself the opportunity to have that sort of love again, so to see that Mr. Daniels had found it with Miss Ellis caused him to smile. And glancing down at the screen of his phone once more, Roger laid it faced down on the seat next to him, because he'd decided to give the couple a night to bask in their happiness before Valentina Moretti had the opportunity to swoop in and destroy it.
