For the next few days, I ignored Todoroki to the best of my abilities. Out of sight, out of mind. If I was reminded of that day, I might just pick a fight with someone.
"Earth to Suiren." Tsu waved her hand in front of my face.
"Hm?" I broke out of my daze. I was a little tired, I hadn't been getting good sleep. My dad was working late into the night, and I was worried. I couldn't sleep soundly, knowing he wasn't resting at home.
"Are you tired?" Ochaco asked.
"No, I'm fine." I waved my hand dismissively. They nodded. We were at the park waiting for the guys. I was hoping that Todoroki wasn't coming.
But alas, since God hates me, Todoroki showed up with the guys. I sighed. This is going to be a long day. I want to go home...
"Hey guys!" Izuku greeted.
"Hi, Deku!" Ochaco waved, giggling a bit. Tsu and I shared a knowing look.
"Yes, hello, everyone." Ida bowed.
"Hey, Ida." Tsu and I said at the same time. Tsu threw her arm around my shoulders.
"So, what's the plan for today?" I asked.
"We're going to go to an arcade!" Midoriya said excitedly.
"I love arcades!" I gasped. He turned to me and grabbed my hands.
"Me too! They have a new All Might pushed, and I have to win it!" He said. I intertwined our fingers.
"I'll help you! I'm the best at arcade games!" I flexed.
"That's so cool!" He complimented, "Personally, I suck at arcade games..."
"Then it must be fate that we're friends." I smiled at him. He smiled back.
"I guess so."
"If you dorks are done, can we go now?" Tsu spoke up. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, yeah! Let's go!" Midoriya and I let go of each other's hands.
"Ichikawa?" A familiar voice called out to me. I froze in place.
"Hah. It is you." Another familiar voice spoke up. I sighed and turned around.
"Suiren, do you know them?" Ochaco asked.
"I wish I didn't..." I mumbled.
"Yeah. Ichikawa and I go way back." She smirked.
"What the hell do you want, Akari?" I glared at her.
"What makes you think I want something?" She quircked a brow at me, "I just wanted to see you again. I was so surprised when I saw you on tv. I can't believe you go to UA now."
"I can't believe you are still following her around, Kenji." I turned to the guy next to her. He glared at me.
"I just want to tell you something. I felt like you should know." Akari said, "I saw your mom the other day." I froze.
"Yeah, she was with her new family. You know the one she left you for." Kenji smirked at the face I made. My hands clenched into fists.
"Aww, is she upset because we insulted her in front of her new friends~" Akari laughed. Shut up.
"They must not know about her past. They wouldn't still be friends with her if they knew." Kenji laughed as well. Stop.
"Hey-"
"That's enough." Todoroki spoke up. I glanced over at him.
"Yes, that's very inappropriate. You shouldn't go around talking about others' personal lives." Ida said.
"We don't care about her past. And she doesn't have to tell us anything. We won't pressure her to do anything she doesn't want to." Izuku said.
"You guys should leave, kero." Tsu said.
"Yeah, get lost!" Ochaco glared at the two.
"Whatever." Akari rolled her eyes.
"Let's go." Kenji and Akari left.
"I'm sorry..." I looked at the ground.
"For what?" Izuku asked, "because you don't want to share your past?"
"It's not that I don't want to..." I started.
"You just aren't ready. We understand." Todoroki said. I teared up and bowed.
"Thank you."
"We love you, Suiren." Ochaco hugged me.
"Yeah!" The others joined the hug. Even Todoroki. The old me would've tackled Akari to the ground and beat the shit out of her. But that's not who I am anymore. The new Suiren has friends to stand up for her. To side with her. To trust her.
Maybe... they're the weirdos...
