Chapter-17

It was the next morning and the sunlight fell on rahul's face making him scrunch his nose and slowly open his eyes.

He opened his eyes sitting up on the bed, his hand on bis baby bump like a a natural habit he had achieved since like the 3rd month.

He looked beside him to see hardik's sleeping figure and small smile came to his lips, he gently eased the frown from his forehead and ran his hand through hia hair making hardik wiggle a little but he didn't opened his eyes making rahul chuckle and stood up to get ready for the day.

He went to the washroom and came back after a few minutes all freshed up and ready he looked at hardik who was still asleep and sighed walking out of the room and downstairs, letting hardik have his peaceful sleep.

He went towards the kitchen and greeted the maids on his way with a polite smile and after reaching the kitchen he started preparing breakfast knowing very well how much hardik likes it.

He prepared some pancackes and omelettes and after he was done he covered the food as to not make it soggy and then retrieved back to his bedroom to see hardik awake and all freshed up.

Rahul: all ready?

Hardik looked at rahul and gave a wide smile coming over to him and kissing his forehead and then bending over to kiss his baby bump making rahul giggle.

Hardik: yup all done!

Rahul: are you excited to meet ishu? Cause I am thrilled, he'll be so happy.

Hardik: I know but as much as I am excited I am also guilty too, I have hurt him so much throughout this period and I don't know how he'll feel about this, I am pretty scared I have messed up a big time.

Rahul: oh baby I wouldn't lie I know you've messed up a big time but you don't know my ishu he'll accept you with open arm and he'll be too much happy when he'll know you came to meet him.

Hardik: alright then trusting you, I'll hope today will be the first day to mending our bond.

Rahul: so what are we waiting for leta head down and do our breakfast then start our mission.

They both headed downstairs and Rahul set the plates after they were finished they both headed to the car but not before packing a lunch box for mayu.

Rahul: ek second harry krunal bhaiya kaha hai?

Hardik: wo filhal kisi meeting ke liye bahar gaye huye hai jab pohochenge wapas tab he baat ho paige.

Rahul: chalo koi nhi filhal tum he mil lena.

They both headed off for the hospital and after a few minutes of driving they reched the hospital.

They went inside and up in front of the room ishan occupied where they saw mayank sitting on the waiting chair his head rested on the wall behind him and his eyes close, he seemed exhausted.

Rahul went near him and slowly carassed his hair making mayank slouch more into the touch, his eye sclosed still.

Rahul: mayu? Think hai na tu?

Mayank: kuch nhi bhabhi bas thak gya tha ap btao ab Thik hai apki tabiyet?

Mayank spoke finally opening his eyes to meet his bhabhi's warm and loving one.

Rahul: mein to bilkul thik hu par tu mujhe thik nhi lagra dekh to dark circles ho gye hai or itna patla bhi hogya hai.

Mayank just smiled at him and hugged rahul's waist still seated on the chair, Rahul carasses hia hair and then turned to look back at hardik, who was deep in his thoughts and the nervousness on his face was visible.

Rahul: dekh to mayu aaj ishu se milne kon aaya hai?

Mayank with confused face looked up from Rahul's Midriff and saw his hardik bhaiya, his eyes widened and he immediately went to him hugging him like his life depended on it.

Rahul chuckled at the scene and that's when Dr. Nihal made his entry with a warm smile and greeted rahul who smiled back.

Nihal: hello Mrs. Pandya! How's it going?

Rahul: everything's fine, the baby's been really active though but may I know about islands health please?

Nihal: of course just please follow me you all.

He said before moving towards his cabin and the rest of us followed behind too. We reached there and hardik and I sat I front of nihal while mayu stood beside us.

Nihal: sooo, according to the recent reports ishan has been recovering at a pretty fine speed and the baby inside is doing great along with the baby's mother he's also doing fantastic the nightmares have been reduced to one at each night which is far more than better to have each every one or two hours, and now the good news ishan can leave the hospital today's evening.

All of us were listening to nihal and by the end of his talk each of us had a big smile plastered on our faces.

Rahul: Thank you so much nihal I don't what we'd do without your constant support.

Nihal just gave them a gentle smile before waving it off and then leading all of us to ishan's room.

Nihal: I think it's better for Mrs. Pandya to gi in first and announce the other's arrival cause it seems he's the closest to him he even asks for him after he's have any of his episodes or nightmares.

A look of pain and guilt flashed on hardik's face but he quickly masked it but it didn't go unnoticed by his ine and only wife.

Rahul went to hardik and cupped his face placing a gentle kiss on his lips but not before closing mayank's eyes who was just beside them.

Rahul: you are trying, okay? So don't be sad.

Rahul then backed away and went inside the room to see a wide awake ishan who was busy staring out the big glass window unaware of the other one's presence.

Rahul: ishan bacche?

Rahul called out softly and ishan immediately looked at his direction, his eyes getting teary the instant he saw rahul and Rahul instantly was by his side.

Rahul: kya hua baache? Ro kyu rah hai?

No words came out of ishan's mouth and all he did was sob and sniff while hugging Rahul tightly.

Rahul too woated patiently for ishan to calm down and them asked him once more.

Rahul: ab thik hai? To fir bata aise kyu rona aya mere bacche ko?

Ishan: *sniff* I..I was s...so *sniff* sc..scared.

Rahul: arry aise kyu dar gaya mera ishan, sab yahi pe to the? Achha chal ye sab chor tujhe ek baat btau tere liye ne aaj ek surprise hai.

Ishan at the mention of surprise looked up at rahul  with confusion and amusement in his eyes while still hugging him close to himself.

Ishan: surprise? Kaisa surprise btao na bhabhi?

Rahul laughed at that but said.

Rahul: accha chalo mein ek hint deta hu, aaj terese koi milne aaya hai wo bhi jiska Tu bohot dino se wait kar raha hai.

Ishan's eyes looked confused for a second but then his eyes widened and a amused smile came to his face.

Ishan: bhaiya!!?

Rahul smiled and nodded and it was the first time in a while that there was actual happiness on ishan's face.
