George sighed as he sat in his chair, dropping his backpack on his desk. It was the fourth period and it was any regular day. A regular day without Sapnap. "Haha!" he heard his classmates laugh. It was the same group of teenage boys that were friends with Jake. Jake had returned to school a few weeks after Sapnap disappeared, regrouping with his pals. However, whenever Sapnap came to be the topic of conversation, Jake stood up and left. George looked over at them, staring in confusion.
"Haha! Sapnap is probably getting it ten times worse than you did!" the first said, laughing loudly.
Jake rolled his eyes, "I doubt it. Can we switch the topic?"
"Nah, man--What the hell did he do to get kidnapped anyway?" the second asked.
The third shrugged, "Beats me, but he definitely was asking for it. He's probably the reason Jake got kidnapped in the first place!"
Jake groaned, "Can you guys shut up? For all we know he could be dead."
"He probably deserves it--" the first said.
George began to chew on his cheek as he got up, rolling his eyes as he walked past the group of boys. He could barely bare going to school without Sapnap, there was no way he could handle listening to Jake's friends talk about him. All he could do was wonder what they would've said instead if they were the ones who had gone through what the prior hostages had gone through. George sighed as he pushed the door open. He knew if he stayed in the classroom he would've lashed out.
Ahead in the distance, George could see someone in a hurry to get to class. Someone who he hadn't seen earlier that morning. "George! Uh... what are you doing? Hasn't class already started?" Dream asked, sighing as he leaned against some lockers to catch his breath. The Brit took a close look at the blonde. "He was running--" he thought. George looked away and continued to walk, ignoring Dream.
The blonde scoffed, "Rude! Where the hell are you going? I thought you hated skipping."
"That's because Sapnap always refused to let me skip--while he did it all the time and dragged me along either way," George sighed, not turning back to look at Dream. The green-eyed boy rolled his eyes as he began to follow the Brit. "Why are you skipping?" he asked.
George remained silent as he turned the corner, approaching the nearest exit of the building. Dream shook his head as he continued to follow, deciding it wasn't a bad idea to skip the whole day of school. He had already missed almost half of his classes either way. "Can you answer me? Hello?" Dream asked.
The Brit groaned as he turned around, stopping in front of a side gate in the school. The same gate that lead to the alleyway he had first confronted Dream in. The alleyway that Sapnap had to meet Dream... where they meant to have had their first real conversation. "Jake's friends are assholes!" George said.
Dream sighed, "Tell me something I don't know."
"Ugh--they were talking about Sapnap. They kept saying how he 'asked' to get kidnapped and that he was the reason why Jake was help captive in the first place--" George said. Dream frowned as he looked away, staring at the buildings surrounding the alleyway. "They even said that he deserved to be dead!"
Dream's eyes widened, "Who the hell said that?"
"One of Jake's friends. I'm kind of shocked, though. He was trying to get them to stop talking about Sapnap--" George said. "But that's besides the point! I couldn't handle being inside that classroom with them anymore. They keep making fun of Sapnap and there is nothing I could do to defend him. There's nothing I could do to even help him!"
The blonde sighed as he turned to look at George, "I need to tell you something. But we should leave the campus first. We're going to get caught skipping if we're just standing here like dumbasses."
George nodded as he pushed the gate door open, looking around for any signs of a security guard riding around on their bike. Dream followed the Brit out, motioning to George to follow him. The Brit sighed as he listened, following the blonde to the direction of the alleyway. "Ironic," George sighed as he looked around, staring at the graffiti painted on the walls of the buildings. "It is the most safest places to be in if we're talking about our situation," Dream said.
"That's true. Anyway, what did you have to tell me?"
"I know where he is being kept."
George smiled, "You know where Sapnap is being kept? Where? This means we can help him!"
Dream shook his head, "If we try to help him, we could get him killed."
"Then we'll be careful! Dream--you can't tell me you didn't think about it when you found out. I don't doubt for a second that you went to see him," George said.
Dream sighed as he rubbed his temple, turning away from the Brit. "Obviously I went to see him. But he was fucked up. He's going insane in there. He almost didn't recognize me," Dream said. "Eventually he calmed down and... I told him everything. He knows about why I'm working with Stanely."
George nodded as he got closer to the blonde. He reached out and grabbed Dream's shoulder. He sighed, "We have to try to help him. No matter the risk it'll have on us. I can't go another day without him."
Dream scoffed, "You're not the only one who can't live without him."
"Guys!" a female voice called.
George and Dream turned to look at the opposite end of the alleyway, finding Callahan and Niki approaching them. "What the hell?" Dream whispered. George sighed as he turned to them, "Cal, Niki, you guys shouldn't be here--we're in the middle of something."
Callahan shook his head, turning to Niki. She nodded, "We need help."
"What? What's wrong?" George asked.
"It's Sam--he's hurt! We think it has something to do with that guy who runs the army--" Niki said.
George's eyes widened as he turned to look at Dream.
"And Punz... something horrible happened to him, too."
Dream pushed George to the side, "What the hell happened to him?!"
To Be Continued. :)
