The shouting in Mr. Ellison's office began to sound louder as Adriana made her way back to her personal office from her lunch break. Mr. Ellison had decided not to join her with his annoying presence and speak with his father.
Seems that conversation is not going well.
Letting out a sigh, Adriana unclipped her long red hair dropping past her shoulders to mid back and replaced her comfortable shoes with a higher heel in her office . After looking at herself and making sure she was presentable in the mirror, she took off towards his office.
Without knocking, Adriana let herself in the room taking into account the older Ellison seated on the couch with a hard look on his face and Desmond Ellison, her Boss and his son, sporting the same look.
Desmond' eyes shift from his father to another figure in his life who got under his skin, only in another way. Ever since Adriana began working at his families company Desmond couldn't help the carnal need inside of him for her. She was beyond sexy with that fiery ginger red hair that fell down her back, the tons of freckles that littered her face, and body that made him want to fall to his knees. Her appearance was what first attracted to him but over the months of getting to know her, how insanely intelligent she was and driven, he knew she would be tending to more than just his work needs soon enough.
"Good Afternoon Mr. Ellison," Adriana says walking over to the brooding man.
"Adriana, so lovely to see you. How have you been? Taking care of my son?" Mr. Ellison asked dropping the brood for a sweet smile, a smile only given to his only daughter, Esme, and for Adriana.
"Desmond keeps me hard at work for sure, everything is going well though," Adriana replies sitting beside him while crossing her legs.
Desmond followed the movement eyes flicking up towards Adriana' face. It was in that moment he forgot momentarily why he was upset with his father till that feeling came rushing back ten fold when he saw his father making Adriana laugh. Only Desmond was allowed to do that.
"Cut the shit..." Desmond grit out clenching his fists harder on the desk.
Mr. Ellison' face remained neutral at his sons outburst as he stood up slowly.
"Think about it," he responded to his son before leaving the office with a subtle goodbye.
As his father left, Desmond felt what little ounce of control he had left disappear. He jumped up pushing his desk chair back in anger before walking to the clear open windows. Adriana watched his movements and waited for his anger to die down as he paced side to side grumbling.
Leaning back on the couch she watched him slowly taking in his handsome large form. Desmond was a dangerously handsome man but also incredibly hot headed. Even so with his character and the way he carried himself it was enough to get Adriana hot and bothered.
Ever since Desmond took over from his father it's been a huge adjustment for Adriana over the last year. The lingering glances and burning touches from Desmond always lit her body a flame. Her clumsiness when he first arrived and her nerves always left her somehow in his arms and it always felt right.
Adriana had never been this unprofessional in her entire career. Working under Mr. Ellison was a breeze, she worked so hard and they worked great as a team. She was never distracted but with Desmond she was constantly distracted. Adriana still managed to get her work done but Desmond's presence always made her anxious.
As the pacing stopped, Adriana looked up catching Desmond's gaze soften slightly but not enough. He was still angry.
"What is wrong Desmond?" She asks softly patting the seat beside her for him to join.
